Why doesn't the telescope just fly over it?

I'm more worried about the giant arrow that's about to hit that poor planet.

The James Webb Telescope launch has been delayed again :( ...but only by one day.

It will now be launching on Christmas Day :msgreen: :toot:

Amazing image! Looking forward to seeing what James Webb picks up with its newer, more advanced technology.

Rocket fuel is actually pretty clean.
A lot of it is liquid oxygen and hydrogen.

I'd give it a go.
What's the worst that could happen?

Or it could cryogenically freeze me and I could be reanimated in 200 years which would be pretty amazing.
Sega might be back in the console business by then :toot: .

The James Webb telescope has officially opened it's mirrors.

This was the largest hurdle left for the telescope and a significant milestone. There is still work to be done, alligning all 18 mirrors, but it would now seem likely that the mission will be a success.

I can't wait to see the images it beams back to Earth!

Bear in mind that while the James Webb should be able to see a lot further and in more detail than the Hubble, Hubble looks at light in the visible specturm whereas the James Webb looks at infrared. That's great for the science it's going to do, but the pictures might be different to what you are expecting!
