I read somewhere that somebody asked Wally Funk how did she feel to be in the space? Her response was, "Oh that was only five minutes."

"The job is done, and the bitch is dead."

BBC News wrote:Hollywood actor William Shatner will later become the oldest person to go to space when he takes a ride in the Blue Origin sub-orbital capsule.

The 90-year-old, who played Captain James T Kirk in the Star Trek films and TV series, says he is looking forward to seeing Earth from a new perspective.

He will blast off from the Texas desert with three other individuals.

His trip aboard the rocket system, developed by Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, should last about 10 minutes.

Mr Shatner will get to experience a short period of weightlessness as he climbs to a maximum altitude just above 100km (60 miles). He will also be able to see the curvature of the Earth through the capsule's big windows.

"I want to have the vision, I want to see space," the Canadian star told reporters earlier this week.

"I want to see the Earth. I want to see what we need to do to save Earth. I want to have a perspective that hasn't been shown to me before."

Blue Origin is targeting a launch for 09:00 local time (15:00 BST).

Kirk finally gets to join Starfleet for real.

Are the stresses of space flight reduced to such an extent now that it won't kill a 90 year old?

Wally Funk survived, I'm sure Shatner can.

The key to survival is having a silly name.

They don't go nearly as far into space as astronauts going to the moon/ISS etc go. They go right to the edge for 10 minutes and then come back down. ISS is 400km up and they go a little above 100km I think-(the Kármán line is 100km, a widely used standard to determine if an activity is aeronautical or astronautical).

So all that means less power needed going up therefore less g force and stress etc

Wonder how much Shatner is paying or whether he gets it free. I'd imagine it will be pretty lucrative for Besos to have Shatner give the order to "take us out".

I wonder if he'll practice his kissing technique while up in the shuttle?

He's promised that "Star Trek: The Geriatric Generation" will be an Amazon exclusive.

I bet Amazon are praying he does the "Space, the final frontier" before launch, so I really hope he just shouts, "USE THE FORCE HARRY" and then huts the launch button.

He won't be the first person to have knocked one out in space.
