China is preparing to make the first attempt at landing robotic spacecraft on the Moon's far side.
A static lander and rover are expected to be deployed to the surface in the next day, state media reports.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-46724727I didn't even know they had a spacecraft orbiting the Moon, let alone that it was going to be landing on it
Wonder if they'll try and
vandalise visit the Apollo landing sites?
edit:
Targeting the far side turns this mission into a riskier and more complex venture than its predecessor, Chang'e-3 - which touched down in the Moon's Mare Imbrium region in 2013.
The strawberry float?! I didn't know China landed a craft on the Moon! What timeline am I in again?
