USA today

Is that old white Nick Fury?? What sort of state is he in atm after that Battle Scars series that introduced his son?

This bit piqued me interest:

"It's all the skeletons, all the dark things that you never know, all the interesting and intriguing information — not all of it even bad," says Marvel executive editor Tom Brevoort. "And it will all expand out into dozens of stories that will cut to the core of who these characters are."

Those hidden histories will come out in the wash through tie-in issues in various Marvel series where folks such as Wolverine and Spider-Man will have to deal with the individual fallout.

Otto's downfall?

Wonder how long it'll be before Jessica Jones gets her own series.

Bendis has blatantly called dibs on that or he'll have a Victoria Hand-esque tantrum.

So I read Detective #27 and I re-read the contents page several times. There was no Dini/Nguyen story.

Marvel should just reissue Alias since that's been out of print for ages. Can't see Bendis writing anything as good as that going by his current form :dread:

If Marvel are starting to go reprint crazy with Guardians of the Galaxy related stuff, then they'll definitely reprint books related to the Netflix shows next year.

Hope so. Immortal Iron Fist is being rereleased in paperback volumes too.

Has anything of note happened in Cataclysm yet?

I don't know what happened in the two issues out today, but what has happened so far is:

Miles has revealed he is Spidey to his Dad (who hates superheroes and blames Spidey for Miles's Mum dying) and Reed/Miles crossed over into the 616 verse.

Bendis is teasing on tumblr that we find out big ultimate universe news on friday.

Just seen this from Bendis on tumblr:

brianmichaelbendis
kidflash7 asked:

Will you ever hook Scott and Emma back up?

I know I’m going to take my lumps for this but I can’t imagine anything less interesting then getting these 2 back together

I thought the relationship brought out the worst in them. it made me like them less. consider that chapter closed until I am unceremoniously fired

Someone never read Gillen's UXM run :dread: :dread:

Was a good comics news day yesterday - Milligan and Doop reunited in some way and Stumptown by Rucka becoming an ongoing. That's two more titles to add to my sub list (Stumptown never left, as a catch-all for any more minis).

All-New X-Factor #1 - what I expected from Peter David, great stuff. Loved the art as well.

Black Widow #1 - pretty good, and the art was fantastic as expected. I just wonder how long Phil Noto will be on it since with the last batch of Marvel NOW stuff most of the artists were only on for the first arc then buggered off.

Avengers World #1 - seems ok but it wasn't anything special. I've never really been able to take AIM seriously as they always feel like joke comedy villains most of the time.

The Marvel Point One issue was okay, it got me HYPED for Slott and Allred's Silver Surfer and there was a cool throwback to the casino issue of Avengers #11 in one of the stories  I liked the nods towards the Game of Thrones-style stuff between the Inhumans, Kree, Skrulls etc. and I hope that's still going to be a big thing in Inhuman since Charles Soule took over from Fraction.

Soule said it would be in an interview with CBR when it was announced he'd taken over.

See Bleeding Cool posted that late last night and by the time I had woke up at 6 am this morning marvel had had it pulled. There's some speculation that it might even be a fake, mostly because of how awful a cover that is.

But it was pretty obvious it was gona happen. It might not be a marvel studios film, but they are not gona pass up the opportunity of Peter being Spidey whilst the movie is out. I'm more concerned with the execution of how it's done and how well Slott writes it because I thought his first ASM run was crap.
