Ah memories. I seem to recall trying to correct you on the spelling of discreet, thinking 'oh Mr Gavin you are so witty' (in a Harry Hill voice), but then discovering that 'discrete' meant something completely different.

What a wanker.

A ratite is any of a diverse group of large, flightless birds of Gondwanan origin

Gondwana (IPA: /ɡɒnˈdwɑːnə/[1], originally Gondwanaland) was a southern supercontinent that existed about 500 to 200 Ma ago. Gondwana included most of the landmasses in today's southern hemisphere, including Antarctica, South America, Africa, Madagascar, Australia-New Guinea, and New Zealand, as well as Arabia and the Indian subcontinent, which are in the Northern Hemisphere. The name is derived from the Gondwana region of central northern India (from Sanskrit gondavana "forest of Gond").

The Southern Cassowary, Casuarius casuarius, also known as Double-wattled Cassowary or Two-wattled Cassowary, is a large flightless black bird with hard and stiff plumage, a brown casque, blue face and neck, red nape and two red wattles hanging down its throat

Uh huh. But this one's not wary of anything.

That is in fact a dad in that other picture, correct, but he's walking with a relative. Perhaps the onus should be on him.

A thought just occured to me. Why the hell is this CommJam's Catch Phrase? Shouldn't it be Sam Seed's Catchphrase? Didn't it used to be called that back in the old days?

Is this thread the equivalent of 'Jim Davidson's Generation game' ?
