The first season is pretty poor, second is much better and then it finds its hits its stride from three.

Season 6 has Queer Studies & Advanced Waxing, which singlehandedly makes it immune to being called “dire”

Season 6 is honestly not that bad and the show's post Glover/Chase slump would have been better if Frankie and Elroy had replaced them from the off.

Season 6 is fantastic, a much better closer in terms of quality than Parks had.

Wedding Videography and Modern Espionage are brilliant episodes. Frankie and Elroy are excellent characters

I watched the first season of Parks & Recreation earlier this year. It wasn't that interesting or funny.

The first season is somewhat of s pilot season. It gets much more energetic after that. It's one of those season's everyone knows isn't very good. It's definitely worth giving the rest of the show a chance.

Anyways I'd say Community has the better humour and writing but parks has much more believable relationships and stories and it's humour is more grounded. I don't think one is better than the other just depends what you're in the mood for.

I love both shows. Parks & Rec got much better after season 1. Community got slowly worse as it went on. Both had highs and lows, but I'd say Parks & Rec is the better show overall.
