I enjoyed it , thought it was cool.

Since I came out of hospital I have done virtually nothing mostly cause I was so weak and sleepy at first, I really keep meaning to do some more stuff.

When I get my next video done I will be removing the GRCADE banners and endings and stuff nothing against you guys and the work you do all of you make very good stuff, I just hardly feel like I belong here so really don't feel I should have myself up as some representative of here. If people want it I'd be happy to uploaded a GRCADE Collective video end not including myself

Everyone advertises this place in their own way, so while the GRcade Collective ending was a good idea, I don't think anyone used it. Sorry that you don't feel like a representative of this place any more, but I hope you stick around.

I don't know what's going on with you, but I hope you stick around Kerr. I'm subbed to your channel and have been for some time now. I appreciate your work and seeing you post around these parts.

Kerr, man, it's a shame that today doesn't seem to be working out too well so far. Nobody here wants you to leave GR. Maybe it could be worth sitting back and taking a breather before doing anything too hasty?

I will definitely be sticking around and I wont stop making content, I have made 4 Videos since this and have another 3 in various states of production, I like being on here and I like a lot of people on here but I think when it comes to the majority I am an outsider who drifted here from another forum and not how they'd like there forum represented so better to hold my stuff up as just my stuff.

I suspect that many people feel like they are an outsider, really; when someone posts something that's a bit "off" or a tad niggly, it can frustrate. I reckon that the vast majority of folk here don't intend to be mean, even though there may be disagreements now and again.

You create a lot of vids and reviews, kerr, and it'll be so cool to see you continuing to guide your enthusiam into them :-).

Oof page 3. Where all the content creators at?

Here's my new vid on Kirby Star Allies, this one took a while, various snags when making it, sat on the fence a lot about whether it was worth finishing, but I guess it happened anyway. Hope you guys enjoy it!
If anyone else knows where else it'd be best to advertise it, it'd be much appreciated lel

I started getting into the habit of creating online content again last year but had to take a big break after finally finding employment and moving into my own place.

I've picked the habit back up again recently and have started putting together bits and pieces on subjects that interest me. I've got some very lengthy projects in the pipeline atm, I'm hoping to get something new out before christmas.

Here's the last proper video I made anyway, got some more minor stuff on the channel also.

Another fun video there, Jezo - and one I can actually relate to seeing as I actually played Star Allies. I agree that a lot of the games design is unnecessarily automated, where it's not unlike someone unwrapping your Christmas presents on your behalf a lot of the time. Although, I did get quite a bit of replayability out of it by virtue of the various copy abilities and their full move-sets, some of which (spider, staff, yo-yo, beam) were quite a bit more fun to use than the rest.

You could probably stretch those 5 hours into 20, maybe even 40 if you're a completionist.

Thanks! ^^ Yeah there's a decent amount of post-game. Speedrunning the game as the different allies is fun too, as you say, decent replayability. Then ofc there's the boss rush and free dlc with the dimensions campaign. While I found the game mostly dull, there are definitely some fun parts to it. The video's not meant to be taken too seriously lmao

I flicked though both your videos, you seem comfortable on camera and the kind of funny that can find an audience. Back in the early nineties you there were all sorts of low-fi youth programmes shown on ITV late at night, normally involving somebody talking and a flat and your style reminds me of that!
Ask the mods if you can post your Kirby video on the Reddit forum. https://www.reddit.com/r/Kirby/

Is your niche first-party Nintendo games and is your channel something you want to develop?

Thanks! Not really sure what you're referencing tho on ITV haha, but guess I'll take is a compliment! The mods finally approved my post on r/Kirby yesterday; it hasn't garnered much attention I don't think ^^''

And no, Nintendo games won't be my niche, I'm just mostly familiar with Nintendo. But my channel is definitely something I want to develop, yes.

Nothing bad intended! I meant different from the stiffer presenting style of television, ITV made a few low cost programmes using video cameras aimed at the youth market with a more informal style sometimes people would do wacky things like run down the road. I can't remember the names of the exact programmes but there was one where somebody would go to people's flats and they'd make some student food... I digress! You in the garden playing with your Kirby reminded me of that because you were doing your own thing away from the main topic of your review.

For anybody that reads this thread let me preface this by saying I personally don't have a winning YouTube channel so this info is not from first-hand experience! However, I've watched a lot of YT educators' advice which I've tried to learn from and if I can York Notes, super-distill it all down to share it then it's this:

* YouTube is a video platform for VIEWERS.
* The algorithm is design to keep viewers on the platform.
* When viewers finish a video the algorithm will find new content for them that they will be interested in.
* YouTube does this by identifying the niche/specialism of all channels and showing relevant content to viewers. - This means YT will show content from similar channels and interests to what the viewer has watched and is interested in.
* So if you run a YouTube channel you should think about who your audience is and what other channels they are interested in. Not to copy them, but to understand your channel's positioning and viewers' interests.

As individuals we have tastes in games that cover a broad variety of genres, but covering that variety in a new channel stops the YT algorithm from categorising it. So step one in growing a YouTube channel is deciding on your niche, whether that be N64 games, WRPGs, zombie games, Roblox tips, news coverage etc, and find five similar channels your audience watch.

If anybody is up for it maybe we could start a 'YouTube challenge' group but I don't want it to be one of those 'groups' where I'm the only one in it, again.

Pedz I tried to find you on YouTube am not sure if this is you because your accent sounds a bit more Welsh when you stream then when you rap.

This is me on YouTube. Thanks for the advice. I guess uploading all my streams and doing reviews on the one channel may be an issue for growth.

Took me ages to find one which works, which is why i now focus on two core elements, travel vids and currency collecting (with a little bit of gaming content added as a separate playlist).
