Have any of the issues from launch been resolved with patches yet?

Yes, most of them have been fixed. I don’t know if there have been another update since I sold my copy.

Hope it helps you.

Cool, thanks BOR, this is why sometimes I feel it’s better to wait on new releases.

Been playing it on PC and of course whatever bugs were present are now fixed I'm guessing as I have yet to come across 1 bar it freezing up on my PC requiring a restart once. Better than Rise IMO, enjoyed what I've played it of the last couple of hours and had fun with the photomode...

I'm going through it now and I'm enjoying it but it's probably my least favourite in the trilogy but that doesn't mean I don't like it.
I just not that keen on the swimming sections, and I find a lack of fire fights a shame.
But that being said the tombs and the puzzles are easily the best in the series.

Did that this morning (£21 with the code) mainly cause someone was after a cheap copy for their hubby for Christmas but I'll keep it myself I think. That's right, get your own cheap games ya lazy strawberry floater :toot:

Is this game dark all the way through. Struggling to see owt in the early stages. Had to youtube the story as id completely forgotten what happened last time.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

I'd say Scavenger Skills mainly, but you could try to balance out on each skills. As I went for stealth route.

It's a bit dark at the beginning, but after that it should be brighter when you reach the next city.

I'm loving this game. I really didn't like ROTR but this one has grabbed me. Thanks to all the negative reviews I saved a fortune and picked it up in the PS sales. I'm about 10 hours in and have had a blast so far.

The game looks amazing (XB1X version here) - I love the tropical setting, such a relief from the snowy wastes of previous games. The image quality is astounding, as is the light and shadow FX, but somehow the devs still haven't worked out how to give Lara a decent walking animation, the camera's still a generation behind and if this game had no combat at all I'd not miss it at all. It's always annoyed me in every TR game and even though it's dialled back a bit here, it's still just as frustrating and unnecessary as ever.

Lara is probably more unsympathetic here than she's ever been. I find her irritating and I struggle rescue any redeeming characteristics from her behaviour and her poor choices. Selfish, self-centred, arrogant, whiny and even patronising. I dunno, I miss the old Lara. She used to have a touch of glamour - some mischievous sense of showbiz and zest. Here she's about as staid and boring as it gets. Where's that dazzling international girl of mystery gone?

But I got the game, including Season Pass, for £40, so hey-ho. And it all does look marvellous.

Probably why Jonah has a go at it being all about her after the flood at the start of the game because she has to stop Trinity blah blah and he wants to help the flood victims.

So I finally got this on gamepass. Considering it was kind of free, I'm quite enjoying the gameplay. The story is so po faced though, the bit at the start with the cheetahs or whatever they were made me laugh. It seemed ripe for a one liner, but it was just the same serious, humourless moment you always seem to get with this incarnation of Lara.

Gameplay wise, it's still as enjoyable as ever, but the story and dialogue are extremely poor for a AAA game. It feels like it should have been an addon pack for the last game to be honest as there isn't really anything new here. I do wonder though if I'll get fed up with this later on as I found the two previous games became a bit of a chore with Lara endlessly moaning and complaining.

I hope they take the series in a different direction next time. Head to Egypt, do some proper Egyptian style tombs and give Lara more of an adventurer personality and DGAF attitude.

I am playing it via the pass to. As my game time is limited I skip cutscenes in most games and having seen one or two in this, I am not really missing out too much. I enjoy finding all the bits and pieces, but will run through it once and doubt I will go back.

I'm really enjoying this (playing on Gamepass). Its the 1st Tomb Raider i have played since.... The original Tomb Raider. If i continue to enjoy this as much as i have the first 5 hours or so, i may go back to play the rest of this trilogy (if i can do it with Phoenix Wright then i can do it with Tomb Raider, dammit).

First TR isn't 4K but it's really good and Rise of the TR is excellent.
