Connection to Fame - Who Do You Know?

I once went to a cricket match with my stepdad and on our way to the bar he walked straight into Nasser Hussein. They both gave each other filthy looks for what seemed like hours before both walking away. When Nasser was out of earshot I said “bloody hell, you almost had a fight with Nasser Hussein!” “What? Nasser Hussein?” my stepdad said. He was so angry that he got bumped that he hadn’t recognised the ex-England captain. :lol:

I was in Year 13 when Maisie Williams was in Year 7 at my school is the only vague connection I can think of.

If we're going down that route, Ian McShane and Peter Noone went to my school.

Stan Laurel went to my school. A few years before I did.

My school was traditionally quite good at football, Joe Cole and Gary Breen went there. I didn't know them as they were before my time, but my mum was Joe Cole's English teacher. Don't let that sway you - I swear to God she was good at her job!

I was also in the year above Dappy from NDubz, but apparently he got expelled for truancy so it's a bit of a stretch to say I actually went to school with him :lol:

James McFadden, Everton and Motherwell legend and scorer of an absolute worldy against France, is an alumni of my school. He left the year before I started. My brother was in the same year as former Celtic and current, err, Ross County player Marcus Fraser and Livingston full back Nicky Devlin.

A friend of mine also played for Livingston as a YTS alongside Wolves, Hibs and Celtic “legend” Leigh Griffiths. His report - “Decent enough fella, but nothing between the ears. strawberry floating hates Hearts”

One of my maths teachers was a former Scottish international. Mr Fraser (Frasier?). Also played for Newcastle at one point apparently.

Struggling to actually think of any real connections, I know there must be some decent links to fame somewhere in my friends/family/school etc.

My mate used to live next door to the bloke who did the "Go Compare" adverts, so there's that I suppose. :lol:
