Connection to Fame - Who Do You Know?

I grew up with Irish Singer Damien Dempsey, was at a house party with the Corrs and best friend of an ex gf was Miss Ireland back in the day.

She had a billion husbands and it’s pretty distant, but my great-grandmothers cousin’s son (or something like that) was married to Zsa Zsa Gabor.

My grandmother was either somehow related to or dated Damon Hill.

I am family friends with both a holywood feature film director who's currently directing Gangs of London and a rock drummer who's played on something ridiculous like 100 different albums, probably most notably Bruce Dickenson in stadium tours. At the moment he's touring with Sham '69. Both from the same family, which is pretty crazy.

I think it's good to have some connection with highly successful people, provided you don't constantly compare yourself to them.

I didn't know politicians counted. Since he did that picking up the magic golden stick thing, Lloyd Russel-Moyle was a prefect and member of youth parliament at my school (of course). Kind of pleased to see he stuck at it, but he got bullied an awful lot for having a posh accent. I think he's the MP for Hove at the moment? The greens still have Brighton.

I saw the leader of the night's watch in a pub once. He lives round my girlfriend's parents way.

My cousin is Britain's Strongest Man, and a flatmate of mine won Britain's Got Talent. My gf's mum also teaches Christian Horner's child (and therefore Geri Halliwell's step daughter).

My wife's best friend is currently dating Søren Rasted from the band Aqua, seems like a nice chap when we spoke a couple of weeks ago. Though he didn't even smile when I said come on Soren let's go party

My father in law is friends with John Major and Geoffrey Archer, Archer is a prick but Major was a nice guy on the two occasions I met him.

When my brother in law was sent to prison in 2008, Archer said to my father in law, "would you like me to chat with him and let him know that prison life is not all bad" I piped up with, you were on day release from low security prison how would you know. My father in law was none to pleased with my outburst.
