Yes, I used them for Gran Turismo Sport. Box art was the european version (had English, but also featured other languages) but apart from that minor thing, no problems.

I thought it was brilliant.

Good to know, I'm definitely tempted as it has been on my radar for a while so to grab it for a few quid seems like a no brainer

Not gonna lie, it’s one of the best games I’ve played this gen.

Apart from the bosses which were all gooseberry fool. Literally without exception. Possibly the anchor boss who was so easy you don’t get frustrated by the shitty design.

Yeah it's great. Might have been my GOTY last year.

Picked this up with the DLC in the Epic store sale last night and had a quick bash. It's certainly an interesting setup so far, reeks of the usual "up its own arse but in a way you can't help but love" Remedy nonsense!

Gun play seems very weightless and lacking punch at the moment, it's got that real "pea shooter" feel about it but given the premise I'm assuming some more interesting combat options will become available as I progress?

Looks strawberry floating amazing graphically though, I'm playing on PC with all the ray tracing effects turned on and it's stunning at times!

The game has now been anounced and released on Switch, interestingly they've gone down the Resident Evil 7 way of making it a Cloud version.

No way the Switch could run it otherwise, not without some massive downgrades.

Just finished the AWE DLC. Was hoping for a bit more Alan Wake, but it seemed like the whole thing was just so they could do that Alan Wake 2 tease at the end :fp:

Disappointed the whole thing was just in *another* section of the Oldest House. Could've at least had you turn up in Cauldron Lake for a bit after going through the Motel. And the ending bit where she's like "the bureau bought the lodge here?" and it's just a white plywood model of it in a warehouse  proper damp squib of a finale

Wish they'd let you carry a light normally, too  So many times I'd be carrying the little service lamps around and just launch it straight at the next bad guy that turned up!

Also, it seems like I've had achievements in both DLC packs glitch out on me (I'm somehow missing one of the Hotline videos in the Foundation, and I can't get a single Vending Machine to spawn now I've finished AWE :fp: Guess at least it's something I can do when the Ultimate Edition actually comes out.

I surely hope they will do an Alan Wake sequel.

With improvement of Alan’s stamina just a bit. After less than a minute of running Alan will stop and catch a breath... not so useful when the enemies are chasing you!

I just finished this too and yeah it was incredibly disappointing. The main quest was dull, even if Hartman looked really cool, and the only decent stuff was the lore in the (many) new collectibles.

At least The Foundation had a new area type.

I've been guilty of mainly using this game as a test bed for trying out DLSS and ray tracing features on my PC rather than actually playing it properly so I thought I would try and rectify that by getting back into the actual game itself.

I still don't think I've actually got that far into it yet but I've unlocked a few more powers that have made combat much more interesting now and the firefights in this are now really enjoyable. The amount of reactivity from the environment during fights is always fun as well with debris flying all over the place as you battle!

Nice, I'll definitely pick it up once I've had my fun with Hitman.

Uh oh... will this now be a thing? Digital (more expensive) versions launching a month before physical (cheaper) versions? Big publishers really didn't want physical versions to feature in new gen and this feels like a way to push consumers down the digital route.

Do saves on the PS4 normal edition carry over to the Ultimate edition?

It’s a bit close to The Medium, but it’s good to finally have a fixed date for it.

I still need to finish this, sadly it never quite clicked with me so I got distracted and haven't gone back to it.

Out 2nd Feb, only for Ultimate Editions -

What is ‘next gen’ about Control Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S?

Performance Mode – Targets 60fps performance with 1440p render resolution and 4K output
Graphics Mode– Targets 30fps performance with ray tracing (transparency and reflections) at 1440p render resolution and 4K output

NOTE: Only the Performance mode is available on Xbox Series S. It is targeting 60fps with no ray tracing, at 900p render resolution, and 1080p output. This is a limitation of the hardware, not the game.

PS5 DualSense Support – Support for vibrations and triggers.
PS5 Activities and Help – Cards and videos that help guide you through the game, and keep track of your progress.

Will my save files transfer over from Xbox One/PS4 to Xbox Series X|S/PS5?

If you are playing the backwards compatible Xbox One/PS4 version of Control Ultimate Edition on your Xbox Series X|S/PS5, then your save file will carry over.
If you are playing the new Xbox Series X|S/PS5 version of Control Ultimate Edition, your save file will NOT carry over. This is because the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Control Ultimate Edition features a much newer version of the Northlight Engine compared to the one used in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game that shipped in August 2019.

I will definitely be playing this at 30fps with ray tracing. I want to see what all the fuss is about.
