Have Remedy said if the PS5 version of Control is going to be a brand new release or will it be a ‘smart delivery-esq’ patch for the PS4 version?

I’ll hold fire then, see Control for under £22 and was hoping it would be a next gen patch.

btw how long is the main story in this because I'm worried I'm powering through it like I did with Spider-Man :slol: Just got to the bit after the Panopticon where you have to go back and meet your brother.

To add - don't power through. The side missions are far better than the central story.

EDIT; Apart from the shitty bosses.

I remember that Alan Wake himself isn’t very fit and end up out of breath after just very seconds of running, which can be annoying on certain sections on the most difficult setting. And the annoying slow motion thing going on when the enemy appears several times in a row.

And I still strawberry floating love it. One of my favourite games.

No free upgrade for PS5 or Xbox unless you own the Ultimate edition...

Will Control Ultimate Edition give me access to Control on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5?

We will offer a free next-gen digital upgrade for those who buy Control Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more information on eligibility, stay tuned to our website and community channels.

What if I purchased the original version of Control previously?

The free upgrade path to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 version of Control is only available for Control Ultimate Edition.

It’s out 10th September.

Ultimate edition coming September 10th with the DLC included

But...if you want the PS5/XSX version you'll need to buy the ultimate edition, you won't get the next gen version with the original version

This is the kind of confusion we are going to see all too often in the next gen i fear. I will be keeping a close eye out for sale prices on ultimate edition then, as i really want to play the best version of this when i do finally get around to it. Unless it comes to Game Pass of course, and then i will relax my standards accordingly.

I mean, I’m honest if nothing else. The cash in my pocket will always trump ray tracing.

Relax, guys. The next-gen version will be identical code. It will just run properly on the new hardware.

Yep, unless they offer a way for people who got the game on release to upgrade for cheaper, this is a real dick move

Not a brilliant thing to do, but...

I haven't bought it yet and that's not a bad price for the full package of an excellent game. So while I'll still wait for it to hit a sale, it won't have to be a deep one.
