I haven't found any outfits for this yet. Do you come across them naturally, or are they hidden away.

Not played in a day or two (I'll be back on it tonight) but started working through the Containment Sector to find Dylan.

Got side-tracked by a side-quest and now have a chance to get the Anchor OoP, but can't figure out how to cross the large gap. Got a feeling I might have to come back to that one I think.

I think I got most of them in the final third and running down the side quests. There's also a post game one.

Are any of you playing on base PS4? Is it playable fine or really bad>

I'm absolutely loving this game, but is anyone else finding the aim really laggy on console? I took a slow motion video on my phone to confirm and half the time the camera moves after I've taken my finger off the stick.

Depends on your tolerance for slow down. On an overall scale of games I play, yes performance is really bad. It is still very playable though.

The final trophy for the Platinum is a real pain in the arse too. There’s no way to just go and get it, you just have to wander around hoping the right kind of enemies appear so you can kill them to get 25 of these pointless board measures.

Hi everyone! We’re thrilled to announce that the latest update for Control is OUT NOW on PlayStation 4. Since launch, Remedy have been listening to community feedback and working flat out behind the scenes on Control.

To our Xbox One and PC players, DO NOT PANIC! This update is heading your way very soon.

As many of you will know, bug fixing and submission times vary across each platform, which is why we’re not out on all formats yet! All being well, we won’t keep you waiting very long. Stay tuned to our social media channels for more info.

In the meantime, take a look at what you can expect as part of our latest update…

General
– Bug and crash fixes to missions, combat and overall game play
– Fixed multiple issues with the PC launcher related to DX11/DX12 crashes

Performance
– Improved title stability on all platforms
– Improved general frame-rate performance through optimisations made to multiple systems and content

UI
– Improved map loading times (map will no longer tease information)
– Motion Blur On/Off toggle added to Options menu
– Film Grain On/Off toggle added to Options menu
– Fixed incorrect UI behaviour on ultra-wide monitors (PC)
– Fixed multiple issues when incorrect subtitles are shown for multiple languages
– Fixed issue when the game centers the aim on Jesse’s head
– Fixed multiple UI related issues

Progression
– Fixed an issue when player could not acquire ‘Pierce Charging Efficiency’ and ‘Spin Grouping Efficiency’ upgrade
– Fixed issue when Crafting Charge and personal Mods would not give the Weapon/Mod but take the materials (Sorry. The Board was greedy)
– Fixed issue that prevented players activating the Pierce weapon form upgrade
– Fixed issue when Jesse is unable to cleanse the ‘Transit Corridor South’ Control point upon returning from Prime Candidate Program area in the mission The Face of the Enemy
– Fixed an issue when Heptonstall would not spawn during certain story missions in the “Old Friends” side-mission (still looking for his buddy Remus)
– Fixed issue when Hiss Barrier remains in the Directorial Override mission’s Control Room if the player dies during the binding cut scene

Sound
– Fixed issue when certain licensed music tracks play after enabling the ‘Mute Copyrighted Tracks’ option
– Fixed and issue when audio is out of sync in the Dr Darling videos (PS4)

Misc
– Fixed issue with the Charge weapon forms erroneous blast radius causing (way) too much visual damage to the environments
– Fixed an issue where game would stall when completing a story mission and unlocking a trophy (PS4)

Once again, we want to thank our brilliant players for their amazing support. We can’t wait to tell you more about what we’re up to behind the scenes. In the meantime, have a great week and we’ll speak to you soon.

There's patches really bother me. A lot of that should have been in the game at launch.

Especially the bloody motion blur option.

Finished the story last night. All round I really enjoyed it.

I did feel that it probably could have done with another hour or two, just to build up to something a bit more satisfying, but overall I was pretty happy with it. It just felt to me that it had only just entered the final act when it ended.

But I'll be there when the inevitable DLC drops. My thinking is that it will tie into some of the other Symbol doors in the Motel.

In the meantime I've still got plenty of side-stuff to work through.

The main narrative is the biggest let down I think. The Dylan plot had absolutely zero pay off to the point I really wonder why he's there at all, and the series of revelations at the end simply doesn't hit.

Still an excellent game though

The telekenis kind of breaks the combat a bit doesn't it. I've upgraded the launch damage to max and don't even have all the powers. It one hits shielded enemies.

Yeah I'd agree with that.

Again it goes with the feeling that the game is missing an hour or two of story and that it ends rather abruptly.

I will say that whatever DLC or expansion comes, I want more Dr Darling videos.

Control developer Remedy has detailed its plans for the game's post-launch content. Two paid expansions will arrive in 2020, with an end-game level challenges mode due first in December.

The first of the paid expansions, The Foundation, will be a timed-exclusive launch on PlayStation 4. It's a detail buried in the press release and not in the studio's public blog post on the subject, which feels a bit sneaky.

"The Season Pass and individual Expansions will be available for purchase on Xbox One and PC, following the PlayStation 4 Expansion 1 'The Foundation' release," a line of small print reads. "The AWE expansion will release on all platforms on the same date."

Expect The Foundation in early 2020 and for PS4 first, then, before second expansion AWE arrives in mid 2020 at the same time for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Both will be set in new locations within the game's Oldest House locale, and feature new missions and game mechanics.

The 2nd Expansion looks to be Alan Wake related. Especially when you look at the top half of all the lettering which looks like the AW boxart.

I really hope they haven't cut story out of the main game and sold it as DLC.

Good news anyway, loving his game.

EDIT: The Source boss can get in the sea.

Reading some gaming news this morning it seems Control is a bit of a commercial flop for Remedy. I doubt we'll ever see a proper sequel to Alan Wake.

I find that to be unlikely...

EDIT - Basically Epic paid £8.3 Million to 505 Games for the PC exclusivity of Control, 45% of that went straight to Remedy. It seems that its basically an advance on sales, it might never sell that many, but Remedy get the money for it anyway.

Yeah, sales figures aren't the metric of success they used to be.

I doubt that covered the cost of Control's development...
