That is terrible. Looks a DS3 but worse.

I can't actually remember a Gamecube FPS I actually played, though.

Look you made Samus cry

Does that count as an FPS? I always thought of it as a First Person Adventure.

You go pow pow in a first person perspective don't you? FPA is just dumb marketing mumbo jumbo anyway.

It does, but it's actually very good. Not that it gets much use. :fp:

I'd have probably said Wavebird if you'd asked me a month ago but after using it the other day I'm not so sure. Z-Button, weird face button placement and odd c-stick just aren't good.

The more you use a controller though the more accustomed to it you become, I'd always been pretty anti-Dual Shock but now my PS3 is my main system and I use the DS3 all the time it really isn't so bad. 360 controller is definitley better though, I'd say its as good as they've come so far but there's still room for improvement.

I've got to try out a CC Pro. The Classic Controller is wonderful, and it's what I use for all of my PC gaming needs.

I really like the Wiimote and Nunchuck combo because I can put my arms a little further apart, and that's more comfortable for me than a regular pad.

For the sheer versatility the Wiimote. It plays racers with accurate tilt, retro games when turned sideways, one handed usage for pointer controls (very useful when having a cuppa) and offers the most accurate FPS controls off the PC.

Plugging in a nunchuk and then spreading your arms out on your armchair is also much more comfortable than tucking in with a regular controller.

I tried the Metroid games, but I really didn't get on with the control scheme. It wasn't your standard dual-analogue fare, was it?

Also, it had respawning enemies when you left a room and re-entered it, which is pretty stupid for a "First-Person Adventure". I still need to pick up the Wii box set so I can play them with a decent control scheme :shifty:

The 360 pad is a D-Pad and two bumpers away from being the perfect traditional controller.

The split nature of the Wii remote also makes it wonderfully comfortable to use in the Nunchuck+Remote setup, but some of the buttons (1+2) aren't in the easiest of places.

Really? o_o That's one of the few pads that feels like it was designed sorely for my hands, it fits perfectly  Good d-pad too. And yes, it looks super classy  But one must make sure it's one with the red start button, the white button ones have absurdly short wires!
