I'm not saying Labour would have been any better, they might have strawberry floated it up too going by what seems to be the norm across most of Europe, but that still doesn't let Boris and chums off the hook.

And their results would have been even better if it wasn't for Patient 31 and the stupid cult they belonged to, with its' practices spreading it further.

For some strange reason, I thought you were a self-employed surveyor. Unless you are the one furloughing staff.

I've done some freelance / self-employed stuff in the past but I'm an employee (PAYE) currently.

There's about 400 staff in the business, will be interesting to see who they decide to furlough.

Ultimately the NHS needs something more meaningful than the country applauding their sacrifice though. They need protective equipment so they are not going to end up burying colleagues and are able to continuing treating people and saving lives.

They need a country that wasn't so quick to demonise striking junior doctors and the thousands of immigrant workers and British BAME workers who make up a massive proportion of the NHS. They need a country that'll learn from the errors of underfunding a health service, otherwise last night's gesture from everyone will just be about patting ourselves on the back.

Which, ironically, will be the ideal replacement for clapping when we all start losing limbs due to untreated medical conditions after the NHS collapses.

What a surprise, footage of Matt Hancock on QT where he says they are going to be availing of the EU ventilators scheme has surfaced.

Surely UK employees are relatively safe with the 80% safety net. That's my thinking for myself at least.

I used to work for them and I'm not in the slightest bit surprised.

The corporate banana splits at the top of the company are scumbags of the highest order who don't give a flying strawberry float about anything other than their own pockets.

Simon Wolfson, the guy at the top, is a Tory peer (Imagine the surprise) who actively voted for cuts to the Tax Credit system that so many of his employees depend on.

He's a strawberry floating wanker and the company is run by total wankers. Their staff aren't people, simply disposable, under-paid tools.

strawberry float that company.

I feel sorry for those who still work for them because, as is the case in most these places, the people who do the actual work are for the most part decent, normal people.

Only if the company they’re working for keeps trading
There’s massive costs beyond employees, and whilst the government is offering loans that won’t necessarily help business barely staying afloat.

Eg Chiquitos have announced this morning 80% of stores will not be reopening as they’ve had to call in administrators.

True, this is going to depend massively on the company. Costs of mine are ~70% payroll so hoping it should ride out the next half year.

Had to pick up a prescription this morning at the pharmacy, and was pleasantly surprised by how well organised it was.

Only three people allowed inside at any one time, with a one in/one out policy, there were only 4 people ahead of me in the queue outside and once in, they were really quick and efficient.

I had to pick up a prescription for my mum the other day and the pharmacy had a similar system, but the problem was that they were sending people back out into the corridor (the pharmacy is in a hospital) to wait for their prescription, but that's also where people were queuing, so it quickly became difficult to keep distance from people.
