I was speaking to a colleague the other day who admited to not getting vaccinated until very recently becuase "its my body"
I mean I don't really know whjat the proper response is to stuff like this other than telling them why/how that is bad reasoning.

I can understand why then were mistrusting of it, but the whole "my body" crap is on another level.

This post is exempt from the No Context Thread.

Over 100,000 kids in England off school with either confirmed or suspected Covid.

Apparently in Scotland more kids have tested positive for Covid in the last month than the entire year before.

We're absolutely leaving the next generation out to strawberry floating dry here. :x

I'd have assumed you saw Derren Brown first and then mysteriously ended up at a McFly gig....

It shows how dangerous putting the wrong message out can be really.

To calm people down at the start, "it's no worse than flu for most"

"it doesnt affect young people or children as much"

and so on.

Now you have people jaded from it all, half not following stuff enough to know the difference between bullshit and updated information on things. Kids being sent to school regardless, people not wanting to vaccinate them because they've been told they're not affected anyway. What a gooseberry fool show.

I dunno what you mean - literally everything is back to pre-Covid when it comes to distancing, attitudes at gigs, capacity, people at bars…list goes on.

Piers Corbyn and his cronies yelling at kids and handing out pamphlets outside their schools attempting to scare them off receiving the vaccine is a new low, even for him. Could end up with a parent lamping him.

It's the only way to generate the 1.21 gigawatts needed to get back to 1985!

Hopefully, I mean if not for that he just looks like he should probably be banned from being near schools.

Had the super duper Green Gecko Brighton experience at the start of the month, went there for the day and some filthy bastard gave me covid again (which in turn meant i had to miss the Bournemouth air festival which was most annoying).

Thankfully, the vaccine did it's job and i was only symptomatic for around 4 days and it definitely wasn't as severe as when i had it last year.

Took a while to bounce back though as the tiredness and fatigue afterwards has been really quite something, only now am i starting to properly get my energy back.
