Wish this thing would hurry up and mutate into something less serious already. What a dick.

Pretty sure the masks stuff will stay for at least several more months even though we have surpassed even the UK now in vaccinated numbers. It doesn't have any real impact on my life and the economy has bounced back so masks in certain areas are fine by me.

Heading to Dublin at the weekend, is live music still being played in bars?

Yes, but only U2 covers bands are allowed.

I don't honestly know as I've not been to a pub/bar for the past couple of years. I know that they close at 12:30-1am at latest and with no night clubs pretty much everything is closed down at that time.

That's dead on, thanks for responding. The person I'm going with wants to see live music. So hopefully they are down at Temple Bar or somewhere.

I just googled some pubs and there is indeed live music in some alright. For Live music check out Whelans, The Grand Social and The Workmans Club.

My wife tested positive Weds morning and has been isolating ever since. I tested negative Weds on a LFT and took a PCR home test on Thurs for which I’m awaiting results. However after feeling really tired yesterday evening took another LFT and it instantly showed positive. Now isolating too.

Our kids still testing negative on LFTs last night and this morning though. Resilient blighters. Hope they stay that way

So about 2 weeks ago my wife had the worst cold she'd ever had. Took the PCR and it was negative. Today she had a message advising her to do another test as the first one was caught up in that testing debacle! Bit late now as she is more than 10 days on from the standard quarantine rules.

She did a lateral flow today and it was negative but I know of two other people who had their PCR test results strawberry floated up. These kinds of errors are absolutely inexcusable. We used our own common sense so she didn't attend work all last week but how many people would have had an all clear and assumed they were safe?

It's a complete gooseberry fool show and just incredible to think of how many people could be multiplied out from that as on going infections.

They're doing their best!!!!

What’s the guidance on having your second jab but you have potentially got covid again, is it 28 days you need to wait after symptoms have past then you can have the jab?

My daughter has been in Ill a few times and it always comes from the school. I have to pull her out of school , get her tested etc before sending her back (illness free), only to repeat cycle again as other parents don't care. I'm not sure how my kids have avoided it so far.
