'Wall to wall with people' on London underground

:dread: It's like those videos back in March when we were days away from lockdown 1.

I've not been to the office since the 10th March. How naive of me to say to my colleagues at the time "See you in a month or two".

Some people have to go to work, and some of those have to take public transport.

This is not an issue of personal responsibility!!

There's also the issue of reduced capacity which forces everyone together on fewer trains.

I dont like this not knowing the deaths, it sounds weird I know but I kind of feel better knowing as much as I can if that makes any sense at all.

This virus thing is never going away is it? Life’s never going back to what it was. It’s far too widespread around the world for things to ever function again like they did.

Great we can vaccinate people and keep vaccinating. I’m okay with that but if other countries aren’t doing it or to the same level then it doesn’t work. You open up the borders and then new variants come in. Maybe ones that current vaccines don’t work on. Yes they are confident that they can just rework existing vaccines but then you are still looking at lockdowns and roll outs again. The cycle just keeps ticking.

I just want to go to the cinema and watch a new blockbuster release

We all thought we'd get wiped out by a killer virus in one fell swoop but it turns out we're going to have a prolonged death by a thousand lockdown :(

The US number is a shocking one, and then you remember that in terms of deaths per population we are still doing quite a bit worse than them.

I'm so strawberry floating fed up with seeing people having visitors turn up clearly staying for the weekend when you're not supposed to even visit. Instant headache of being pissed off. It really feels like we're the only strawberry floaters adhering at some points.

Yeah, I'm noticing the same type of thing around here.

Was in Tesco yesterday lunch time and some guy was arguing with the staff about their tightening of the rules over masks. Wasn't wearing one.

And I looked at their tweets about them tightening up the rules, you have people there going 'I'm medically exempt' in the comments, you click into their profiles and they are spreading anti mask information. Utter dickheads.

You didn't tell us he was friends with Matt Hancock :o

It really does give you a mental kick in the teeth to be of the mindset of "oh well, at least we're all suffering together" and then see a load of mates turning up, family turning up and so on. Makes you feel like a strawberry floating mug, especially when you've been sticking to the rules all the way through and STILL got covid :x I bet these people are just spreading it all over the shop without a care in the world.

Rant over pmsl x
