Guessing that the 40-50 hump in that chart is the result of the parents of those kids catching it from their offspring.

Yeah that's the most likely explanation, then those parents spread it further by going to shops/offices etc. :toot:

Wife finally got invited to book her booster and the website won't work. She called the NHS and all they could say was to keep trying. It still isn't working.

Just went out for an Indian meal, and got hit with a conspiracy theory from the waiter as we were paying at the end

Apparently covid is being sent down from the air by the government because "they know WHEN and WHERE it's going to hit" :fp:

I've noticed a lot of comments from people saying they won't get the booster jab as the first and second jabs didn't work so why would the third.

It's very difficult to tell whether these are just anti vaxxers pretending to be previously vaccinated and just trying to cause trouble. Or genuine people who have fallen for conspiracy and lies.

Anyone saying the first and second jabs didn't work needs to explain how they came to that conclusion, given that they’re still alive.

I've seen some conspiracy theorists saying that the jabs are deadly but it'll be two or three years before people start dying.

Wow haha. So many things. 5 or 6 children have died, so obviously it’s the vaccine. Slandering Cliff Richard. And he appears to be living in a caravan.

Good stuff. So the vaccinated can’t lose. If the jabs aren’t deadly, we’re right and we survive. If the conspiracy nuts are right, they will be the only ones left alive, and I’d rather die than live in that world.

It’s the bit where he goes on about how ‘Sir Keir Starmer’ is a paedophile as he is a ‘Sir’ that gets me

McDonald's this afternoon was ridiculous, I ordered a takeaway so i could eat outside, yet the pace of service was glacial and I ended up stuck there for an absolute age surrounded by maskless morons who seemed to compete with one another in getting as close to me as possible. Bloody idiots!

I was at a trade show at the NEC during the week. Thousands of people there across the three/four days, all indoors in an unventilated (albeit large) space. To gain access you had to show an NHS covid pass or a recent lateral flow test to some disinterested staff at a checkpoint, neither of which were actually examined for validity in any way, and given a wristband with 2 days. Not a mask in sight, because it was "safe" and everyone felt like there were "appropriate measures" in place. Worse than that, there was an awards dinner (hosted by Kevin Keegan :datass: ) with around 800 people in a much smaller room for around 7 hours all standing or sitting shoulder to shoulder. On the trains there and back, only about half people wearing masks, but the trains were nearly full.

Unsurprisingly my line manager tested positive for covid, as did a customer who visited our stand. I had a PCR test yesterday and it came back negative but doesn't really take much to see why we have such a huge problem with cases.

I went to a show there a couple of weeks ago, and my phone took so long to load the pass the guy giving the "covid-free" wristbands just gave me one  The guy in front said he'd left his card in his room and he just gave him a wristband without even asking any questions.
