Living social are selling face masks at the moment. Mine arrived today after just under 2 weeks wait. Seem sturdy enough. I've been looking on Amazon but most of the reviews said "don't order, never arrives"

Wish my image sig would work

A very grim two pages in the new issue of Private Eye speculating that the government is still secretly pursuing a herd immunity strategy and doesn't know what they're doing.

It wouldn't surprise me if the initial let us all out then lock us in was intentional.

SAVED LIVES AND PROTECT THE NHS for tomorrow too please.

What they said today is stupid in some ways - we need to stay locked down for a long time if we don't want thousands of more people to die, but they're 100% going to relax the rules and send people back to work in London and other cities. I can see it coming now.

I can see a lot of companies, especially larger more IT focused companies, coming to a realisation after all this that office space is basically wasted money. If their operations have been relatively unaffected by most of their staff working from home then someone is going to start asking why they're spending so much on office space and all the costs that go with it like utility bills and insurances when there clearly isn't a need.

If the science doesn't back them up, tough titties I say. Seems they backed the wrong horses.

Anyone else watching this coronavirus special on Channel 4? So refreshing to see a group of very intelligent people just talking. Krishnan asks a question and then the clever person provides a proper answer. They don't get cut off after 25 seconds, and nothing is dumbed down. I'm in strawberry floating awe at the brains on these people, makes you feel like a neanderthal.

I'd recommend if you're getting a bit tired of the celebrity GPs on daytime TV still answering questions on whether you should maintain 2m distance from your cat.

You know the Labour leader's doing a good job when he's being praised by George "Mr Austerity" Osborne

This was honestly refreshing to see from a BBC journalist amidst all the aforementioned 'bRiTaIn HaS aN oPpOsItIoN aGaIn' gooseberry fool going on in my timeline earlier.

Starmer was very precise and measured, without being overly aggressive. What you'd expect from a QC I suppose.

I've not seen that one, but there's a really good Horizon special on it which gives Such a great view of what it really is.
