My parents and younger brother are all in Spain and have caught covid. They are my first relatives or anyone close to me that's actually caught it so I've been pretty lucky so fair.

Also luckily they are there for three weeks so it shouldn't cause them any issues getting back assuming they don't get hit by long covid or where you still test positive for quite a while after feeling alright etc.. at present they just have cold symptoms and aren't too bad either.

Let us know how you get on with the side effects, that second Pfizer i had was a bastard.

Thankfully, the vaccine did it's job and i was only symptomatic for around 4 days and it definitely wasn't as severe as when i had it last year.

Took a while to bounce back though as the tiredness and fatigue afterwards has been really quite something, only now am i starting to properly get my energy back.

Hope you feel better. As for me I live here centrally now so I can only hope to be mega immune by the 2nd or 3rd time I catch it.

I'll definitely get a booster if/when offered. Fortunately my GP is 4 doors down, it's a 2 minute walk to the high street, I have basically no need to roam around but I do want to get involved with music again.

Yeah, i am feeling better now thanks, still a bit tired, but not as fatigued as i was last week that's for sure.

Do you just go out licking door handles when you leave the house?

Fully vaccinated travellers from the USA arriving to the UK need to take a PCR test "On or before Day 2", but does that also include the day they arrive? So for example my girlfriend is flying into Manchester Airport, and they have on-site Drive Through testing facilities. Could she get off the plane and then immediately go to the Drive Through facility for a PCR test? Or would that be too early?

Unless the flow of time has changed, then that is definitely before day 2.

Two kids in my sons class have tested positive and the response now seems to be just to shrug and carry on as normal. :(

I must be, either that or i get it every time i venture into an Artbox shop (the one in Brighton was the first i'd ventured into since March 7th 2020 when i visited their Covent Garden store and got my first round of 'rona afterwards).

Lol tbh Artbox doesn't surprise me because you have young people and kids touching everything then leaving with a pusheen branded ice cream.

My partner isn't interested in the BTS stuff.

Yeah, not a fan myself, they have a big following but I feel there are more interesting bands in Asian pop right now.

It just seems odd to me that a pop group would also need cartoon characters and a range of toys.

It might not have been Artbox, as when i first contracted the rona, i'd also been on the london underground, ate in at a busy McD's on The Strand, and spent time in the National Portrait Gallery (where there was some suspicious coughing going on). Also, in Brighton, North Laine was incredibly busy so it could have come from one of the shops there.

Then again, maybe it was Artbox after all, who knows, but i tell you what, it's doubtful i'll be heading into one of their premises again (just in case). :|

Went to a gig last night. Sold out. Absolutely heaving.

Fortunately we were in the disabled section so we weren't crammed in like sardines. But even so.

Seems to be a lot of faith in there being no new variant coming in.

There's a group of anti-vaxxers constantly appearing near my house. The desire to send my car flying towards them grows every time I see them.

Went away this weekend (England), and not a single person was wearing a mask. When I went inside to a bar, I expected to see some but nope, just me. I also had lots of funny looks as a walked back to our table outside with it still on as I couldn't take it off yet. I know there's got to come a time when we get used to things like this, but it's still uncomfortable to be the only person out of hundreds there wearing one.

We're supposed to be going to see Tim Burgess in Cardiff tonight, but it's a sold out small venue, and we're still not comfortable with it so will probably not bother going.

Used to go to Clwb Ifor Bach a lot back in my student days, it's a great venue for more intimate gigs. But yeah, maybe not the best option mid-pandemic!

We've never been in, only walked past that bit and there's always sick outisde the place! We were in two minds if we should go but talking about it last night, any sort of anxiety is only going be ,magnified once you're in and there's hundreds of people packed in. We'd probably just end up leaving anyway.

You've been double jabbed and previously got infected right? That's meant to have an even greater level of immunity than just being double vaccinated. Similar to having no prior infection but getting a 3rd jab.

Enjoy the night and worry about the consequences later!
