It's a good idea in theory but as soon as you think about it more it doesn't work. Who will pay the teachers for the extra work? Do they get time and a half? When will they take holidays as they can only take them during non term time, won't many families be going away during the summer holidays to the UK at least?

The level of hypocrisy on show when the government and their defenders talk about kids being the future and it's essential to get them into school.... How many kids learn on an empty stomach? They actively voter to keep kids hungry and now they are the future.

Wish my image sig would work

Has anyone else had the jab yet?

Had mine yesterday and was a bit sore and stuff but last night was like the worst flu, totally wiped me out, feel a bit hungover today but much better overall

I’ve got the sore and weak arm thing too

At least it wasn’t placebo hah

Not sure what the planned timeline for wider roll out of the vaccine's actually is at the moment but I'm still not expecting to get mine until the summer time.

A few have had, but I don't think anyone has said about having a bad flu afterward. Could be wrong though.

Given a vaccination rate of 2,412,429 a week and an uptake of 75%, you should expect to receive your first dose of vaccine between 23/05/2021 and 04/08/2021.

Well that's disappointing.

My gf had that last Friday. She had high temperature the first night, and was aching for days like flu. It was mostly cleared up by Sunday though

Which vaccine did you get? Parents both had the Pfizer jab and were fine but mother in law had the Oxford one and was ill for about 3-4 days. It may be coincidental but she's also theonly one who had previously had Covid.

My mum had the Oxford Astrazeneca jab and was ill with a fever for about a day. My dad seemed to be fine though.

My wife has had the AstraZeneca one and her only side effect was a sore arm for a few days.

My stepdad had the Pfizer one and felt fine.

I had the Pfizer vaccine this morning. My arm hurts a bit at the moment, but nothing else so far. I'm expecting to feel a bit rough tonight or tomorrow, but hopefully nothing too bad.
