How were you notified when it was brought forward and did you just rebook through the website? My sister is in the over 40's group but hasn't heard anything and is still booked in for next month (12 weeks).

My second is due early august, but i assume the under 40's still have to wait 12 weeks anyways.

I got a phone call from the clinic. My wife's jab was also brought forward 3 weeks (different place), think she got a text message.

Ah right, in that case i'll tell her to keep an eye out for a text (i assume your wife rebooked via the website rather than speak to anyone).

No, they basically gave her a new appointment and she only needed to contact them of it wasn't suitable. I've a feeling it probably varies by NHS region/county though.

Hmmm, we wouldn't be happy if that happened here, would much rather just to be able to rebook online.

That said, i've seen comments on articles where people have cancelled their second dose appointment in the hope of bringing it forward only to find there are no slots, and they end up with a later appointment at a vaccine centre further away from home.

As it's only 4 weeks until my sisters appointment, it might be better just to keep that if possible as it's at the best location and with a good time slot.

I've decided to leave my second appointment (just unse two weeks time) where it is as I'm not convinced I'll get one sooner if I cancel.

The stats do seem to suggest that the rates are dropping in the three original hotspots of Blackburn, Bolton and Bedford.

Love the PR handler at the end saying, "Do you have everything you need?"

Oh, yes.

The setting up of Hancock as the fall guy is so transparent. Obviously he isn't very good at his job, but all the focus on him specifically is like everyone is forgetting the Prime Minister is Boris strawberry floating Johnson.

Interesting to see that the EU has lost at their legal challenge against Astrazeneca

Classic Tory PM strategy, if in doubt blame the cabinet.

Just found out one of my mates has been in the ICU with covid :dread:

He's a 'big' guy (for you) and very unhealthy and by the sounds of it was lucky to make it out of there.

So the latest study shows a single dose prevents hospitalisation from covid by 75%. Hopefully it's just a waiting game and in a couple of weeks a lot more young adults will have had a first dose and the rates will start dropping..

There's not many people I'd say this about for real, but I genuinley hope gets it and dies from it. Absolute gooseberry fool stain of a bloke.
