Wasn't them wanting you to be back in the office one of the main reasons you left your job?

It wasn't so much the fact they wanted me back in, it was how they were going about implementing it.

Also lots of other things like attempting tax fraud, voicing homophobic and transphobic views in the office, etc. They were just gooseberry fool and horrible in general.

Oh yeah, it's been such a long rollercoaster that I'd forgotten all of that :fp:

Still fascinated by the stats we are getting. Cases are rising, but hospitalisation seems to be flat if not still dropping slightly and deaths fortunately seem flat. I guess we are getting to crunch time for the vaccine, if cases continue rising but hospitalisation and deaths remain flat then I think that's good confidence it is working well.

There's always a lag between cases increasing and that transferring across into admissions/deaths. The case rate started going up about two weeks ago so were at the point now where we see whether or not the current measures and vaccination status is helping to break the link

Cases have plateaued at best for a long ass time though, while hospitalisations/deaths have continued decreasing, so the vaccines seem to at least be doing something. We're now getting to a much stronger test though.

Why would anyone in their twenties no what a cassette tape is?

Apparently there's a tape fad now: walkman sales are up and bands are doing cassette releases.

Disappointingly inevitable. Deaths & hospitalisation are the key metrics now…well, if you bleed blue that is.

Got a call today to move my 2nd jab from early July to this weekend (11 week gap down to 8 weeks). Maybe this is a new policy?

Are you in one of the high priority groups? They brought it forward from 12 to 8 weeks for any outstanding from there a little while ago. Presumably that's still working it's way through system
