That one line feels like a guarantee that a national lockdown will come back.

Tier system sounds strawberry floating pointless given how loose it is.

Johnson’s utterly caved the lunatic demands of the CRG. Every single Tory voter has yet more blood in their hands. Stained so thickly though they won’t notice.

Unless you’re self employed or in the hospitality sector

They won't notice because they'll be too busy celebrating their victory.

I'm starting to think Boris Johnson is more concerned with taking popular measures than effective ones

It really doesn't sound like something he'd do though

Apparently everyone will still be encouraged to work from home until April even in Tier 1. Remember when the right tried to threaten everyone with the sack in the summer if they didn’t march back into the office?

Yeah I just read this on the gov.uk website and was massively relieved. I'll again be flat out refusing to return to the office if work start a renewed push.

This is going to blow up again, isn't it? I don't see how we can possibly get through December without the numbers getting out of control.

But I thought this was all part of a plan to keep us locked up forever?

Not to be confused with Skarjo's plan to keep us knocked up forever.

Feels like we should've hit forever a month or two back. I'm all for keeping the oldies alive and all that but I do strawberry floating miss a gig like.

People would have less of a problem with the Tier system if there was at least an end date in sight. I've no problem with them over estimating, tell us "you'll be in Tier 3 for at least 3 months", but when you curtail freedoms with no end in sight, it just builds resentment and distrust.

It's that lack of transparency which helps fuel a lot of these conspiracy theories. We should have had all the scientific advice from SAGE made public. There is no national security issue in doing that, and it at least helps prevent the erosion of trust we have seen. Especially from a government who have already broken the law once and are planning to do so again.

I find it extremely hard to counter some of the conspiracy theorists I know effectively because of how untrustworthy the current government are. I try of course, but it's an almost impossible task to try and defend any policy implemented by Boris Johnson.

Not even dates, just say "You need to be under x amount of infections, y deaths and have z% free capacity of hospital beds for 3 weeks" to go down a tier.

Being in Greater Manchester and us being locked down first, then seeing other areas that are worse than we were then (in terms of per 100k) - but not as bad as we are now, so see as 'better' - not given the same restrictions as quickly is very, very frustrating.
