Yes the substitutions are always crap from Morrisons (sainsbobs is much better but also like for like far more expensive). It seems Morrisons aren't allowed to get any fresh stuff for click and collect, despite offering it. Every time we chose meats from the butchers counter, they ALWAYS try to sub it for some frozen crap (ribs being the worst offender).

We never have any issues getting a slot, but it's usually a day or so after we order, not on the day. Maybe things are just busier in Exeter.

I'm super-glad that masks are becoming compulsory but I do feel for the staff who have to challenge the (barring medical reasons) plonkers who won't wear one.

I saw somebody on Facebook earlier say that all the nightclub bouncers are out of work and so should be put on the doors of supermarkets.

I would agree, but I don't want to be turned away from Aldi because I'm wearing trainers, or because they already have too many men in there and want some young girls.

We can hardly every book a slot for delivery or collection, with neither of us working from home the hours we have available to us are limited and they always seem to be booked up now. Even when we have managed to get something the level of substitutions seems to have gone through the roof!

Sainsbos let you book delivery slots a week earlier than the hoi polloi if you prepay for a bunch of delivery charges. There was also a rumour that the ability to book earlier slots doesn't disappear when your delivery bundle expires but I can't confirm this.

Might not be the same for everyone, but fwiw, the Co-Op always has loads of delivery slots free here. It's a small shop so the range is limited, but it's got us through the pandemic without ever having to brave a supermarket. You can order either via their own website or via Deliveroo.

Sir David Attenborough has become the latest well-known name to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, his representative has confirmed.

Finally some good news

We can't even get any of the services like Deliveroo or Uber Eats where we are :(

Genuinely shed a tear when it was revealed Nando's was available on Deliveroo but that we wouldn't be able to have it. No cheeky meals for me!

Really couldn't care less about who is the latest celebrity to get vaccinated. As if they matter more than us peasants.

You know, like "oh thank strawberry float Jo Brand is vaccinated! That was all I was worried about and thank God I can relax and get on with my life again"

You're just so selfish Zilnad.

I for one can barely get through the days at the moment because I'm uncertain as to whether Rylan Clark-Neal has had his vaccine yet or not!

Sometimes I just love to come on GRCade for the sheer bluntness.

Oh Jo Brand got vaccinated, what do you want, a strawberry floating medal?

It's always both funny and tragic to see the weight that gets put behind CELEBRITY XYZ HAS DONE SOMETHING.

Oh wow someone I know from a panel show has been vaccinated, life is saved!

I think you'll find that Jo is a fully trained psychiatric nurse so it's actually really important that she gets the vaccine!!!!

Yes it's got loads round here (in central London) as well. Very limited range, but it's useful when I've forgotten to get a slot at a book supermarket and the next one available is like a week and a half away so I can get in a few things so my girlfriend doesn't despise me too much.
