Pffft, she just doesn't love our brave NHS workers enough. Bring back hanging for the likes of her, I say!

One Fifth of English People in Study Blame Jews or Muslims for COVID-19

Nearly half of people in England believe in conspiracy theories about COVID-19, according to a survey carried out by psychologists at the University of Oxford, with nearly 20 percent agreeing separately that either Jews or Muslims were responsible for spreading the virus.

In a survey of over 2,500 people, almost half of those questioned endorsed to some degree the idea that "COVID-19 is a bioweapon developed by China to destroy the West" and around one-fifth endorsed to some degree that "Jews have created the virus to collapse the economy for financial gain".

Very cool and normal country. Love being trapped on an island with these mentalists.

Have spent the last 24 hours going through some of the data from the first stage of our Covid-19 study. Can't believe we didn't think to have a racism questionnaire in there.

I’ve still never met anyone who hates Jews. Who and where are these people? Yes I get there are some far right people about and Extreme islamists but I don’t believe they are anywhere near 20% of the country.

University of Oxford researchers have begun recruiting for the next phase in human trials of a COVID-19 vaccine in human volunteers.

They're also now expanding the age groups too.

Not my point at all :fp: I’m not doubting they exist at all. I’m asking who they are with the exception of far right and extreme islamists.

This is the vaccine my housemate is working on - he really likes the vaccine they're trialling. It sounds like promising.

It kind of was your point. Just because you haven't met them doesn't mean they don't exist. And you may well have met them, a lot of racists are intelligent enough to hide their views.

No it wasn’t. You were clearly trying to imply that I was some kind of anti Semitic denier. Which is frankly disgraceful.

Clearly there are plenty of idiots out there that have a blind hatred towards Jewish people or Muslims. I was just saying that from my personal experiences I’ve not seen behaviour on that scale.

I've signed up to the St George's Hospital one so tell him to pick me! (But not the Meningitis control vaccine, I want the good gooseberry fool!).

The Andrew Marr Show a few weeks back had Professor Sarah Gilbert being interviewed and I've been fascinated by it since it seems the furthest ahead in the race to produce a vaccine.

They've also managed to scale up the vaccine production capability tremendously too. They're looking to have 1 billion ready by September. 30 million for the UK, 300 million for the USA and not yet confirmed as to what countries would get the remaining 670 million but I'd assume Western European countries would be most likely.

I didn't imply anything of the sort. I suggested that you not having experience of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You can read that as me calling you a denier if you want, but that's not what I meant.

I'm glad someone got it :(

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... s-lockdown

Police spoke to Dominic Cummings about breaching the government’s lockdown rules after he was seen in Durham, 264 miles from his London home, despite having had symptoms of coronavirus, the Guardian can reveal.

Officers approached Boris Johnson’s key adviser days after he was seen rushing out of Downing Street when the prime minister tested positive for the virus at the end of March, a joint investigation by the Guardian and the Mirror has found. At the time, the government had instructed people not to travel and to stay at their family homes. Cummings, however, was seen in Durham. A member of the public is understood to have seen him and made a complaint to the police.

When asked if Cummings had been warned about breaching the lockdown, a spokesman for Durham Constabulary said: “On Tuesday, March 31, our officers were made aware of reports that an individual had travelled from London to Durham and was present at an address in the city.

Wonder if he'll be stepping down :simper:
