If the last few years have taught me anything, it's that no one in government ever gets held to account for anything.

When all this started, my wife and I discussed what we would do if we got coronavirus and had to isolate with our son. It was an absolute no brainer that we would just suck it up and get on with it. Our son has toys and an ipad, I can sit on the sofa and play videogames with him, read stories etc. It would have been hell, but we would have coped. For a millionaire to be unable to cope in London, with all of his contacts is just humiliating for him.

At no point did we even consider passing our child on to someone else and potentially spreading the virus to another family.

The government story is absolute bullshit. What he did was very clearly against the rules. Just scratch the surface and it falls apart. Very few people would have enough petrol in a car to do an adhoc 260 mile journey. Where did he fill up the car? He could have spread the virus on a petrol pump.

To be honest there is no point in sacking him. He will still be giving advice to Boris even if he was sacked.

If you're not yet sick but your wife is then it's fine to drive 260 miles to stay with elderly relatives.

But if your elderly relative dies, it's unacceptable to go to their funeral.

Stay at home, unless your parents are rich enough to own an outhouse, in of which case feel free to do what you want.

No 10 response on Cummings breaching the guidelines would suggest there weren’t any lockdown rules in place at all.

This is outrageous.

It's disgusting. But it'll be ignored by those in power because sacking Cummings would mean they might have to take responsibility for their own lies and wrongdoings.

It seems like a tacit admission that Cummings can't look after his son very well.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Think this might be the part where I stop reading the news full stop. It's so bad but nothing will happen. I can't really deal with the feeling of impotent rage every day.

Wow the Tories how now completely undermined any enforcement the police have taken over the past few months. Idiots. If there’s second wave and we go to a stricter lockdown then it’s throws any enforcement options up in the air.

If people were just being sent home or told to move on then that's bad enough. But a lot of people have faced fines for breaking the rules and then the government break their own rules and nothing happens.

No chance of a second lockdown being enforceable and no chance of a word this government says being followed by anyone anymore.

Wish my image sig would work
