I hope you're not going for 100% cod you're gonna be there for a while if you are!

strawberry float me you weren't kidding. I keep missing just one or 2 boxes in a lot of levels. What feels like combing the level slowly I just can't find them, even using the right stick to move the camera around a lot. I don't even know where to start on finding the coloured gems. The old games at least told you which level they're in, but now nothing. So much is just hidden I'm lost lmao

Ok nope, done with Crash 4. Toxic Tunnels with the 4 gem door, took me a while to get through it, hard as dicks, get to the end of the level, missed 3 boxes. So strawberry float it, I'm using guides from here on out.

There was a belief back in the 90s with some games that this intentionally abstruse level design existed just to sell game guides. PRIMA does actually have an official game guide available for N.Sane Trilogy (even though you could have just used the originals!) but I don't know if they bothered with this one.

Seems like the perfect game to be taking advantage of PlayStation 5's Plus video tutorials.

I've returned to this lately after I got distracted by Sackboy and Valhalla.

Anyway, it's brilliant methinks.

I enjoy it and some boxes are very well hidden.

Series X/S and PS5 versions coming next month, with free upgrades and save transfers. 12th March.

4K and 60fps visuals and quicker loading times, as you'd expect. On PS5 there's support for 3D audio and the DualSense's adaptive triggers.

Also coming to Switch on the same date, and PC later in the year.

Brilliant.

I'll hold off for a while until it's patched. :toot:

Played two levels on it earlier and it looks much better. Vibrant 4K/60fps and the loading is quicker which is great. :datass:

Only one small problem is... I've got two versions of Crash 4 trophies now. :fp: PS4 at 42% and PS5 at 44% why couldn't they merge both trophies into one trophy list. :fp:

Exactly the same with Spider-Man. If you start the remastered PS5 version & import your PS4 save, you immediately unlock every trophy in the Remastered version that you’d previously unlocked in the PS4 edition. But if you then unlock a trophy in the PS5 game, it only unlocks in that version - not the PS4 game. I’m sure it makes sense in some world...somewhere!

I picked this up when it was on sale there.

It’s brilliant. It’s funny comparing this to the remastered Crash and Spyro trilogies, which are extremely good looking but the gameplay is archaic. Like most games of that era, you don’t really realise how dated it is until you go back to it.

This, on the other hand, plays like you *remember* the experience of playing the old ones, and so far I can’t find a single thing to fault.

strawberry float off, Activision.

Activision has put Crash Bandicoot 4 developer Toys for Bob on Call of Duty: Warzone development duty.

Their excuse is probably "this game didn't sell well enough"

While ignoring the fact that it didn't is because they were charging £50 for it at release.

That's specifically why I didn't buy it, it was far too overpriced, especially in comparison to the trilogy

I still haven't bought it because the platinum seems like an absolute ball ache

Or their expectations were far too high. 'We pencilled in sales of 10 million but we only sold 7 :( '

Crash is one of those games though that will sell for years as the price gradually decreases. Same with Tony Hawk.
