I've been back playing this over the past couple of days, I'm a couple of levels into the third island on Crash 1 now. The bridge level on island 2 was ridiculous though, hated it!

I just had a really weird moment where the contoller felt wrong in one of the extended jumping sections - my thumb expected the flat face buttons of the PS1 pad. I had no idea this game had been so ingrained in me.

It's like when you play sonic 1 or 2 on something other than the mega drive or drive ii it jus doesnt feel right.

Exactly. And I feel like I should take a break and go and watch Game On now.

Gamesmaster, I'm having trouble with the Bonus level on Crash Bandicoot. What can I do to get past the level?

strawberry float those bridge levels, they're bloody insane.

I'd forgotten the bridge levels. Just got to the first one, and seeing the mist immediately reminded me. Oh, here we go.

Basic run of High Road done. No rope bullshit. Not so bad.

I'm trying the rope trick and still having no luck! First time while owning my Switch I've wanted to hurl the joy cons at something. I did try it normally and had no luck either :x

Thank goodness, that's the high road level done. I've read somewhere (while looking for help re the high road) that the games actually get easier as you progress through them, is this the case?

They do, yes. Crash Bandicoot 3 is drastically easier than 1.

Ah fair enough, was expecting them to pose a similar challenge throughout, saying that some of the levels in Crash 1 are really testing my patience/determination though

I beat 3, as in a basic crystal run, in the space of an afternoon. Very easy. Muscle memory maybe as I never played 1 before this.

Lights out is now doing my head in, I get the idea behind the level of course but the timing on the lighting beacon seems so tight that you need all the platforms to align, which they don't seem to do? And just as I'm about to post this I go and do it :fp:

Really starting to think this game isn't for me sometimes

Ahhh, just got the red gem on Slippery Climb. Last time I tried, I struggled to get anywhere, so I left the game for a while. It’s been bugging me, so I went back and cracked it tonight. Lights Out next. Oh good.
