Digits along the blue lines must have an equal sum within each box they visit. For example, r2c5 + r2c6 = r3c7 = r4c8.

Erm.

'Box' here means each 3x3 box, in case that isn't clear. The blue line in the example starts in r2c5 (row 2, column 5), and there are two digits within that box along that line (r2c5 and r2c6). r3c7 is the only digit along that line in its box, and the same for r4c8.

Tried Code - 63 today and still got stuck a couple of times and had to check the video but eventually finished in 94 minutes(!)

Will definitely play a few more. Been a long time since I've done sudokus and I don't know a lot of the strategies but these are great as the accompanying video really helps explain it.

The swordfish mechanics are really tough to intuit, but once you know how they work you spot them immediately. My time on Code 63 was 39:09.

This is likely to be my last post in here if there's no interest, but this puzzle is very approachable and recommended.

I've done quite a few of these now, they are great!

My times aren't good and I often need a hint or two, but I feel like I'm getting better with each one.

My favourite puzzle so far has been this:

I used the video to double check the rules and see what his starting move was and then I didn't need any more help. It was useful to colour the snake in a similar way too

I’m completely hooked on these. The whole thing is absurdly fascinating. I’m still learning about the variants, and I often don’t attempt them unless Mark/Simon posts a really low time, indicating a certain easiness. I still take many times longer than them, but enjoy the process, and I always do the GAS sets. Mephistomel’s puzzles are strawberry floating nuts, though. I watched Simon take an hour and a half to do one, and I took the time to understand all of his logic, but the idea of tackling that myself… Just too much.

Currently doing That’s Sum Slithering - a snakey one that is good fun.

Just changing channels and caught the end of Countdown. And Mark from CTC was one of the contestants! How did he do? He won his eighth episode in a row!
