Their (Crysis) last tweet was 2016, so are they coming back for a remastered trilogy, or a full remake on the next generation consoles?

CryEngine 5.6 Tech was showing Crysis on the new CryEngine 5.6 Tech last year.

I might be in the minority, but I would love to see Crysis Remake on PS5.

Not a popular opinion, but I really like Crysis 2. Wasn’t mad on the other two.

I love how even now Crisis still challenges high end PCs due to Crytek gambling on how CPU's would develop.
If I remember rightly they assumed CPUs would remain at one increasingly fast core instead of multiple, lower clocked cores and designed the engine to work that way.

Possibly a remastered Trilogy. It will also come out on Switch and people will be like wtf.

As a showcase for the capabilities of the next gen consoles this seems like a fantastic idea.
The Series X can showcase the visual possibilities and the PS5 the audio and I think many would be fine with buying the game again to see what the shiny new machines can do.

This seems like a pretty cheap way for Sony and Microsoft to get a game which is famously power hungry and great looking to test the new systems. It's pretty much just them using the PC version and enabling as many bells and whistles as the machines can handle and I highly doubt the console versions will outdo a PC version on max.
