Realistically, what can they improve in a few weeks? It's not miraculously going to compare to the best looking games of this generation like Red Dead Redemption II and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, is it?

The PC version has a "can it run crysis" mode:

Today's post is dedicated to our PC community!

We want to show you, for the very first time, an in-game screenshot using the new "Can it Run Crysis?" Graphic mode, which is designed to demand every last bit of your hardware with unlimited settings - exclusively on PC!

Was Crysis actually ever any good? I've literally only ever heard it discussed as a destroyer of graphics cards.

The first few levels are bloody great - a beautiful sandbox shooter where you can live out your Predator fantasies of stealth camouflaging your way through a whole army of grunts, or just go full Rambo and blow up basically everything in sight. It goes off the rails when the aliens get involved but there's definitely a very good game in there still.

Why are some people so against EGS?

I dislike Tim Sweeney, he is a budget Bobby Kotick with less personality.

Tim Cook continues to use companies that employ slave labour to make iPhones.

Elon Musk removed all safety signage in his Gigafactory as he dislikes the colour yellow, which lead to multiple industrial accidents

Jeff Bezos is worth $200 billion while his workers have to camp outside Amazon service centres and gooseberry fool in buckets.

I'll bet you still use either Apple, PayPal or Amazon.

Every multibillionaire CEO is trash. Sweeney, by all accounts, is one of the lesser evils and people hate on EGS because it's new and scary. It's not as good a platform as Steam no, but it gives devs a bigger cut of profits and an overall better deal.

I understand why Crysis is loved because of it's graphical prowess but as a game, it's actual gameplay is pretty poor. I played a fair bit of Crysis when it was released on 360 and it looked ropey but the gameplay was boring and bad, especially in comparison to Far Cry 3.

I guess it's better for Valve to just have a monopoly then?

Picking up people and throwing them definitely is boring, so is being able to destroy buildings, what were they thinking.

Go a little easy on the sarcasm man. I played it years after Half-Life 2 so the whole 'throwing people around' thing was meh, as was the destruction, again years after playing Battlefield MP. I thought the gun play and combat was just a bit stiff, and lacking.

I played it on the ps3, and kind of enjoyed it. It felt like a really long tech demo more than a game, and I found the superpowers really awkward to use, so I just ended up cloaking and sniping for the most part.

The fact I mentioned GOG I am clearly all for Valve to be a monopoly.

I will hold off till it's on a platform I prefer.

Valve doesn't go around money hatting games like Epic does so I'd say that Epic is actually worse in terms of seeking to monopolise the PC gaming market.

That's not how monopolies work

GOG isn't really a viable competitor though is it, them simply don't have the money to be.

They're doing the exact opposite of monopolising  they're being competitive. They know people are incredibly stubborn about using any service but Steam as their primary one so they've had to buy up a bunch of exclusives and free games to encourage people to use their store.

This has received a diabolical 3/10 in this month's Official PlayStation Magazine. Sounds like nothing more than a cynical cash grab.

...this product is downright insulting. To call it a remaster feels inauthentic; in many ways, it feels and runs worse than the original game.

Crysis Remastered is playable on PS5.

I wonder if they will upgrade it to PS5 to make it better?
