Anyone else getting this? Some excellent reviews, a rogue like and village builder in one. Plus a beautiful art style.

It’s on my wishlist but it will be a while before I pick it up, glad to see it’s getting good reviews.

I was really interested in this but then I learned about the base building/sims shiz.

Gamecentral weren't fans.

In Short: Turning a demonic cult into a management simulator is an amusing idea but the cute graphics are the only lasting entertainment to be had from this misjudged muddle of a game.

Pros: The premise is neat and the art design and graphics make the best possible use of it. The combat might be extremely undercooked, but the fundamentals are solid.

Cons: Base-building requires little in the way of forward planning or strategic skill, and quickly becomes repetitive. Combat lacks variety and the random weapons are a real chore.

Score: 5/10

Yeah, funnily enough this review really killed any interest I had in it. Other reviews had highlighted some of these issues but downplayed the impact they have on enjoyment, but GC suggested that these things (primarily excessive cosmetic nonsense and overly simplistic combat) were in fact the big issues that I thought they may be (given what I enjoy / have no tolerance for in a game).

Here's hoping Inscryption lives up to expectations.

End of the month for PS5. It may be a multiplat release but no one knows for sure just yet.

Of course now I really want it physical on Switch.....

Played 5 hours of this tonight. Excellent so far. Base building is enjoyable and dungeon crawling is like a slightly slower version of Hades. It's a nice balance between the two gameplay types.

Did anyone ever put much time into this? It’s still on my radar but I’m thinking it might be better off waiting for them to finish the DLC updates before playing?

I maxed out my base which was gun but the dungeon crawling bits were a bit flat so I lost interest in it. It's a good game with excellent atmosphere.
