...with stories going round that this year is somewhat lacking in quality titles, I've been thinking about what I'm looking at buying and when the games are coming out, so...

August 28th - Batman: Arkham Asylum, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, King of Fighters XII
September 4th - Guitar Hero 5, Metroid Prime Trilogy
September 11th - Beatles Rock Band, Colin McRae: Dirt 2
September 18th - Need for Speed Shift
September 25th - Halo ODST, Professor Layton and Pandora's Box, Scribblenauts
October 2nd - Gran Turismo (PSP), Fifa 10, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010
October 9th - Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
October 16th - Brütal Legend
October 23rd - Uncharted 2, Borderlands
October 30th - Tekken 6, Forza Motorsport 3, GTA Episodes from Liberty City/The Ballad of Gay Tony
November 6th -
November 13th - Modern Warfare 2, DJ Hero
November 20th - Assassin's Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2
November 27th -

Also NSMB2, Blur and I'm sure there are others I've missed.

Not sure about anyone else...but there are plenty of games there as far as I'm concerned. If anyone wants it, I'll update and change the list and games with new stuff or if anything changes release date.

Wow...I'm getting all but 2 for sure. The other 6 are wait and see.

There are loads of games there of which I am interested in, but realistically I'll only be getting two of them before the year ends - Uncharted 2 & CoD:MW2 - due to time restraints and finance issues.

You must have quite a large disposable income if you're thinking of getting most of them!

US release date is the 1st, but the EU one might well be a bit later in the month, should be out in September though.

Not all of them...I count 20 at the moment that I'm seriously considering that I will buy, baring bad reviews.

The bolded and Wolfenstien will be all that I will be picking up this year. I so wanted to play Singularity, MAG and Bioshock 2 this christmas. Well anyway it looks like next Easter is going to be better than christmas.

Bought the first - yeah, bought it. Not played it yet. Played the demo, which scared the gooseberry fool out of me. I'm always kind of reluctant to start playing scary games, but once I'm in, I love 'em. Curious relationship I have with that type of game - I think that's part of what puts me off starting L4D a bit. That and I'm crap at shooters. And I have no free time.

Not sure where I saw that one, but it was definitely down as that on some list, perhaps it isn't final.

Without even a shadow of a doubt.

The rest? Depends on your point of view.

I'm with you on the scary thing, Dead Space has remained untouched in months now! :fp:

Can't even begin to say how amazing L4D with mates is.

Did you get it on the 360 or the PC?

I was thinking of picking it up for the 360 or at least restarting my Lovefilm account and nabbing it from there (I haven't had a new game in ages). My main worry is that the 360 version will be far less busy online than the PC servers. I'd be nice to have a reliable squad of a few 360 players to go through the game with.

I'd have bought it on PC already, if my laptop hadn't cried itself into a coma when I tried to play TF2.

EDIT - I probably won't get many new releases for the rest of this year, to be honest. As I've not been buying games that regularly for a few months (or, I've been buying them and trading them back without playing them, which is admittedly very silly), I'm behind on quite a few titles. I'd like to pick up MW2, for example, but I've only played two levels on the COD4.

Just 2 for me: NSMBWii and Red Steel 2. After enjoying the first and seeing whats possible in WSR Swordplay this has a lot of potential.

I also plan to get Metroid Prime Trilogy, whenever it comes out.

Its busy enough, although can't say that I've played it with Randoms for a while. If you can pick up a cheap copy then I would If I where you. I'll go through some campaigns with ya!

LIVE Activity for week of July 13th

Xbox 360 Top Live Titles
1 Halo 3
2 Call of Duty 4
3 Call of Duty: WaW
4 Gears of War 2
5 Battlefield 1943
6 GTA IV
7 FIFA 09
8 Left 4 Dead
9 UFC 2009 Undisputed
10 Fallout 3

Hard to tell if its busy from that cos the hugely busy Battlefield is only 5th and FIFA 09 is 7th which is mental busy!
