I've only got two lined up as well.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs -Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff - 2nd Feb
Brand New - Cardiff Union - 17th Feb

Plan to try going to a lot more this year than I have been recently. Last two years I've only been to the student festival Beach Break and went to an Arcade Fire gig in Cardiff :fp:

What was it?

Metallica and Sabbath, I think. The latter will pull out probably, and I wouldn't blame them given Iommi's situation.

They were announced ages ago. The current line up is:

Metallica(Playing the Black Album)
Black Sabbath
The Prodigy
Biffy Clyro
Soundgarden
Chase and Status
Machine Head
Tenacious strawberry floating D
Youmeatshit
Trivium
Lamb of God
Devin Townsend Project
Devildriver
Little Angels
Anthrax
Ugly Kid Joe
August Burns Red

A good ten bands I'd like to see a lot in there. It's a shame Youmeatsix and Trivium have been confirmed but I don't need to go and see them. Remarkable line up for me so far. Add in Rammstein in February and it could be a good metal year for me.

EDIT: My gigs so far this year:

Rammstein
Shinedown

Rammstein tickets arrived today. I'm so excited.

I have Reel Big Fish next month and then no gigs planned for the rest of the year. I'll see Radiohead when they get their arse in gear but that's it right now.

Cora where you seeing Shinedown at? I've been meaning to see them again since I saw them at Download in 2010.

They're doing an academy tour, I'm seeing them at Glasgow's o2 academy.

Dammit, I can't stop laughing at 0:24. The album's at number 1 in the midweek charts btw (not bad for an independent label).

Have they released their new album yet? Not sure what I make of the single they recently put out.

More thrash metal

I'm kind of happy I never grew up with the big beasts of metal; that way it's easier for me to listen to new, leser known stuff without always comparing it to the "legends", and it sounds much fresher to me.

Thank you for bearing with the absurdity that SOPA could bring to proceedings when it comes to links and hosted content, even on forums like this one.

This thread is now unlocked. :D

Does anyone know when the Sonisphere line-up is announced? My friend is trying to tell me he's heard Foo Fighters and Blink 182 will be there.
