Reminds me of the little Roots Manuva I've heard, vocally at least.

"The aching limbs decide to vapor, sparked up your cigarette
Lookin' out the window at the world,
I just ain't ready yet
Such things just get me stressed,
Grey hairs are springin' up and I'm startin' to shake a bit
I'm still got some whiskey left, maybe I'll just take a sip"

I have also been enjoying the new Mogwai album, far more than the last one. Which is nice, since I'm taking Deadpool on a date to go see them next week.

Album stream: Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie xx – We're New Here

Gil Scott-Heron's outstanding comeback album, I'm New Here, has been remixed by Jamie Smith, the man who cultivated the sound of the xx's eponymous debut. Listen to all 13 tracks and let us know what you think in the space below.

You ever seen them live? Chaos. Also, when I was speaking to them at Reading 2006, I found out one of the lady drummers used to live about 15 minutes from me.

Im listening to some Roots now, classic hip hop. Also Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Maximum The Hormone, Weezer, Cold War Kids and Pavement have been playing through the evening.

Been listening to Magnetic Man, not too shabby. Saw Deadmau5 a year or two ago, but thats about the extent of it. My brother is right into it, I should really get him to do us a mix.

Any good dubstep you recommend Zimboo?

Yeah I saw them at Roskilde '09 and they were unreal, it's what got me into them properly. Lil' Wayne cancelled at the last minute and so they filled in on the main stage and tore apart every other act of the week. Only act to get 6/6 in the festival newspaper too. Hoping to see them in a more intimate venue next time they're touring here, not sure if anything can top that performance though.

EDIT: Also one of the girls we met at the festival had a video of Eugene Hutz on her phone from when they played Copenhagen the week before. He was slugging a litre bottle of vodka while belting out tunes on the guitar on the street at 5 in the morning. I'd say it'd be madness to be on tour with them.

Wouldn't call either of those artists dubstep...

But can I recommend you some good gooseberry fool? Of course I can.

Some tracks I'm liking at the moment:

Unlike Wiggles this is my first time listening to the band but I'm liking what I've heard so far. Pretty cool that you got to meet them :)

I saw them live when they were supporting Rage last Summer (that free gig). They really impressed me. I remember it started to rain heavily just as they came on, and no one really cared because of the energy they gave off.

Anyways, listening to a bit of Anamanaguchi

As far as chiptune goes, I haven't heard much better.
