Videogame covers  I have the same Electric Guitar as that guy. Although my Yamaha AES has seen better days and it's not my main instrument now.

The Space levels are the best part of that game. I only played it for the first time recently, and I was amazed at how ridiculously tough the last level is. The rest of the game is a cakewalk, janky physics aside.

They're great eh? I've favourited a bunch on youtube, I hope to do a few of my own one day although I have a looooooong way to go before I'm good enough :P Certainly a nice guitar there.

Yeah the last level is nuts, I didn't clear it for the longest time as a kid. The rest of the game being easy I imagine is down to it being non-linear in the order you tackle the worlds, which I actually do appreciate. I am coming across a few secret levels for the first time on this playthrough surprisingly!

Dark Souls 2. Feels strange, man. Couldn't figure out how to level up until I talked to the lady. Weird design choice there. I prefer the old way.

I just got to the first bonfire in the Forest. Something feels different about the movement in this game in comparison to the first one. Can't quite put a finger on it. Framerate is extremely stable, some screen tearing, but nothing too bad. Playing the 360 version.

Also played a little Warioware on Wii U. Mental.

I love the Apple Theif game on Wario Ware U

And the Fronks! The first time I played that not knowing what happened during the round (also quite drunk) was hilarious.

Been playing Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga on Wii U GBA VC; it's fantastic game  Going to try beat it this time round, last time I got to last boss but my save file was deleted >_> It looks nice on gamepad and controls very well.

Also played through Mr.Driller 2 as I got it alongside M&L and Golden Sun and man it's difficult. Managed to get 450~ out of 500m depth, only for me to panicking because oxygen goes down too quicky, and all oxygen pick up items are covered by poisonous blocks >.<

Tomodachi Life still gets played every now and then, it may be pointless but I love it, enjoying it more than I thought.

I just got to No Man's Wharf in Dark Souls 2. I don't want to tempt it, but those first two boss fight were ridiculously easy. Dragonrider didn't lay a single hit on me

Persona 3 Portable

I like the dungeon crawling bits but I'm finding the social sim aspect a bit dull.

I equipped one of my party members with a higher defensive armor (battle panties  ) and she complained that it was too skimpy.

That is the old way... sort of. That's how you levelled up in Demon's Souls.

Oh, I never owned a PS3, so didn't get to play Demon Souls.

Still on No Man's Wharf. I spoke to soon about the challenge being lacking in this. This area is pretty long winded. The shortcut you open isn't even a shortcut. It's quicker to go the long way. It is gonna take me ages getting back to the fog door (I went back to the bonfire to level up with all the souls I'd accumulated). I was getting annoyed with it last night. The difficulty in this game seems to be dealing with multiple opponents at a time, which is kinda different to most of the enemy placement in Dark Souls. Not sure I like this human effigy business as well. And I've heard the enemies have limited respawns as well?

I should probably not be comparing this to Dark Souls and just treat it as a standalone.

You can also become human by being summoned to another world and beating a boss. This is definitely the worst of the three but it's still a great game. If still be playing it if Mario Kart wasn't out. I'll go back to it one day.

On and off playing Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros.

Loving it for the most part, but I do find it frustrating how tutorial-laden it is...especially considering how good Mario games generally are at teaching you mechanics through gameplay, or at most a pictorial sign in the background. I understand for some of the more nuanced RPG mechanics, but it does it even on self explanatory mini games. I had the same complaint on Bowser's Inside Story now that I remember.

Still enjoying it a lot though, any game that makes me laugh on multiple occasions is doing something right :)

I don't have Xbox live, so a lot of the online stuff is out of question for me.

Made some progress with it today. Explored the Tower of Heide some more, came across Dragonslayer Ornstein. What the bloody hell is he doing here? Anyway, killed him, and I also killed the boss in the ship at No Man's Dwarf. Made my way to Lost Bastille and I just got killed by the boss (or bosses). Lots of mobs in this place. Kinda annoying having to lure them out and pick them off one by one.

Ah that's a shame. It is annoying that you don't become human after beating bosses in your own world like Demon's. That apparently limited number of effigies makes that mechanic a bit annoying without online play.

I'm going through Stealth Inc. as the Playfire Rewards have spurred me on to try it out as it has been in my library for a long while. I'm really enjoying it as it feels like a 2D version of portal. The messages that pop up during levels are quite funny. I just finished 3-4 and it was hilarious to read 'two words: jump idiot' when my clone fell into a saw after I didn't realise that part of the floor had opened up  That's probably my favourite level so far because it requried quick reactions and a careful plan.

Getting into Persona 3 a bit more now, still not keen on the social sim bits but at least they serve a purpose by making the summoned 'personas' more powerful.

I must say some of the monsters and personas are brilliantly designed and border on batshit insane.

Super Mario Galaxy

It's growing on me. The music is lovely, and there are some nice platforming elements, but most of the levels leave me feeling a bit 'meh'. The odd one is really good though.

F-Zero GX

Starting to get my ass kicked in this now. Done everything on Novice and Intermediate, but on Expert finishing 1st is proving tricky. Not as good as F-Zero X, mainly because a lot of the tracks are pretty forgettable, but there are some good ones, and the speed and fluidity of it all is brilliant. Still looks decent too.

Arkham Asylum still. It's pretty good isn't it? Totally get why it got so much hype when it came out. I'm only 35% of the way through (Joker has just used Titan on Ivy for the first time), but it just keeps feeding me new gadgets and upgrade to keep things fresh. Always find it hard to turn off when I start playing which is a good sign for me as I never have much time for gaming so I don't want to be bored when i'm doing it.
