Flatout Ultimate Carnage

Reminds me of the Destruction Derby games to which it bears a more than passing resemblance, it's quite difficult though and the car physics are sometimes a bit too 'floaty'.

Shame it'll almost certainly stop working when GFWL is discontinued in July as the original developers no longer own the IP.

I've been playing Animal Crossing New Leaf and Pokémon X loads again as of lately although I've been more relaxing with them rather than being obsessed with them; I just play them to chill.

It helps that I usually have main game or two to play through alongside them, right now it's Ys II+ on PC which I'll play more once I've finished 100% on LEGO Pirates [360] and Tearaway on PSVita.

This game is very good so far, if it continues like this I may double dip on home console. It's a very tasteful combination of old Resident Evil and new Resident Evil. Some engine drawbacks probably caused by hardware capabilities, but apart from that it looks very nice.

I've sunk so many hours into Raid Mode. It really is a great Resi. I want to get it again on PC and annoyingly missed Steam's daily deal last week.

Batman: Arkham City on the PS3.

Still a cracking game but with its sandbox nature, it doesn't feel awesome and tight as the original, Arkham Asylum. Plus the story is not that great. The combat system is still one of the best I've played.

A bit worried about the new Arkham Knight which promises to be the most open sandbox game. Just have to hope that the story is much better than what this game offers, but still hyped for it! Roll on October 2014.

Orange Box: HL2 on 360

Never played this before as the PC version made me nauseous and I only owned a PS3 when the Orange Box first came out.

Quite enjoying the old skool shooting action, the shonky physics and environmental puzzles less so.

That shouldn't be a problem if you change the game's field of view value to 90.

I remember playing the original HL (or maybe it was Blue Shift) on PC and I actually thought I was dying :slol: :fp: Never suffered from nausea before so I had no idea what was going on.
Had no issue with the 360 version of Orange Box... bar one of the episodes and a multi-storey car park segment. But a simple fix if you get it again, is to put something next to your TV (like a game box or something) so your eyes are concentrating on more than just the screen.

Some one here suggested putting a game box, dvd case or something... standing vertically on the middle of the tv as it helps you to focus better, to overcome motion sickness.

But then I haven't really experienced motion sickness.

 That's pretty much what I said, Wedgie. And I can confirm it does work.

The physics puzzles were a *little* shonky, but I think that's acceptable what with it being one of the first games to utilise them. I think.

More Wind Waker. Just done the second dungeon and got the second orb thing. It looks so good. Those little leaf dudes remind me of Ewoks though.

He probably thinks The Godfather is a 6/10 movie as well.

Yeah I did that when I played Portal a few years later. I appreciate that HL2 is a seminal title and at the time being able to pick things up and drop them on other things was kinda cool, but in the cold light of 2012 the physics engine does show its age. Maybe "fiddly" or "capricious" would be fairer adjectives than "shonky". I'm not terribly far into the game, but carefully placing breeze blocks on a seesaw was an exercise in tedium I wouldn't care to repeat.

I keep falling off pipes. I've never been a fan of FP shooters that try to be platformers, Turok on the N64 springs to mind...

I'll try the box thing.

I seem to be a bit screwed in Resi Revelations. Like fight a boss, have no health items and limited ammo screwed. Hmm. I really suck at this game.

Sounds like the design sucks to me. Your predicament reminds me of playing Code Veronica on the Dreamcast, I was trying to figure out what to do next, but all I could do was limp around being killed by one thing or another. It was a terrible time.

Still, some folk like that sort of thing. I suppose you could argue that's the nature of the classic horror survival genre.

I managed to get through it somehow. Checkpoint system is still a bit stupid in this. The more I play this game, the less I seem to like it. Still a good game, but I loved the first few chapters of it, the later chapters have been annoying. I'm on chapter 9 now.

Tokyo Jungle

Still pissed off about how the game asks you to run blindly into possible enemies who may make mince meat of you, but I have finally managed to unlock another animal :o I can now run around as a house cat :slol: I want to be a tiger not a pussy cat! Ah well, still good fun.
