From the pawns dialogue constantly cutting across each other, to the abysmal graphics, the wonky animations, poor voice acting, its totally failed to grab me. I liked the opening, fighting the manticore was pretty cool, but then next thing i know im doing fetch quests for a nobody and delivering messages like some half assed MMO. I honestly cant believe its a Capcom game, because say what you like about Capcom, usually their games are polished as strawberry float. This feels like it came from some Eastern European B-team. Dont think i can be arsed playing anymore, such an awful introduction to a game

I think there's plenty in there that you will enjoy going by the fact you enjoyed the manticore fight. Avoid the side quest escort missions (bar the blonde lady in the starting village) and you'll miss the worst of the game.

Dead Nation (PS4)

I've finally found a Housemarque game I like  It had to happen at some point, I guess.

After buying the PS3 version *years* ago I finally get into it a few days ago but only after the Vita release failed to grab me yet again. Dead Nation does nothing new, not only that but it steals a hell of a lot, but once I opened up more weapons (and upgraded them), and upgraded the secondary ones too to help cause even more carnage, that's when I finally "got" the game. It's dumb, bloody brainless fun. It's also longer than I thought it would be.
Playing with the Gold Wireless headphones helps too.

I'm playing Milla's story in Tales of Xillia now. Thanks to the perks you can get from the Grade Shop when you start NG+ my party is stupidly overpowered. I'm about to head to Milla's shrine near Nia Khera; in my first game everybody was just shy of LVL 15 now thanks to 2X and 5X XP perks everyone is around LVL 45. I don't see maxing out the LVLs/Lilium orbs being too much trouble now :D

Valkyria Chronicles

This game feels like what Battalion Wars should have been. I enjoyed BW when I played it but this seems to be a lot better. The cross between tactical turn based combat and real time action sequences creates a unique type of gameplay that I don't think I've seen elsewhere. Some of the music is incredible, especially the music that plays during your turns in the first few chapters.

The story's presentation in a book is a cool feature but it does get annoying when you have to select three or four different cutscenes and have the book load up again between each video. Nonetheless, I'm still enjoying the game and I look forward to playing some more later today.

Is that the PS3 game? It was one of the first demos I downloaded when I first got my PS3 and I really enjoyed it. Just never got around to buying it for some reason. One day...

It is indeed. ShopTo is currently selling it for £15.

Trials Fusion - It's good but hasn't really clicked with me the way Evolution did.

Batman Origins: Blackgate - Got it for like £6 on PC. It's not very good. Problem is it feels very, very linear and Batman plods along. It feels like you're just sort of suggesting what direction he moves in. Combat is rubbish.

Burial At Sea: Ep 1 - Got to the combat section and my interest died immediately.

Thinking about starting a new Dark Souls run.

Playing Metal Gear Solid 2

Without a doubt one of my favourite games of all time, although I don't think I've played it for about 12 years. I went through it several times in a row when it came out, but I've never been one for going back to games until the last couple of years.

I'd only ever played 2 and 3, so after getting a PS3 last year, first thing I did was download and play MGS, and gonna work my way up to Ground Zeroes :D Hopefully if I can stretch them out, there won't be too much of a wait for Phantom Pain.

That's a shame. Was thinking of trying that this weekend.

Try it. You might like it. I'm not very far in. Will keep playing and see how it goes but at the moment it's very tedious. There's no real reason for the movement to be so bloody slow and the combat was probably slowed down to work on handhelds but it's just weird and jerky here. The animation is super weird because of the speed it moves at.

Honestly, if they doubled the speed you do everything at I'd probably be enjoying it a lot more.

Trials fusion. Changed the rider back to normal and turned the music and voiceovers off - all is how it should be. Laughably hit a wall with the hard tracks but will get some practice in.

Professor Layton and the Azran legacy. Possibly my favourite Layton to date, completely absorbed in it.

Gave Outlast a quick go as I had someone with me, that's getting left well alone. /wuss.

Keep trying to load realm reborn up despite not owning the game...dare not jump in to the mmo world.

Having only played Dark Souls, and before I get into DS2 I decided to have a crack at Demon souls.

This was a bad decision, as it appears to be, imo, harder than dark souls.

Da fuk, no bonfires?

Dark souls was hard, but this is beastly.

I found Demon's to be pretty straightforward when I started it after Dark 1. There aren't any bonfires per se but the stones amount to the same thing.

Yeah it seems more linear, but it also seems alot more rough, kicking my ass good and proper.

I also meant in terms of difficulty. I only had trouble with a few bosses and that was because I put no points into Dexterity so my ranged attacks were quite limited. I don't think that there's anything in Demon's that's as tough as the Tomb of the Giants. Where are you at the moment?

I have zero idea how I beat the very first room. Some of the puzzles were hinted at but I got the last mem card by punching random numbers on the lift panel.
And then in the infirmary I was stuck for the longest time because there were more sides to the room than I thought there were at first glance. I mean where the hell were those three other beds hiding?! :slol:

:fp:  Turns out I missed a spoken clue for the lift panel numbers. As for the extra beds, they were behind a partition but I still think they could have made it easier to discover that side of the room.

Other than that I am enjoying it. Finding it very hard to follow  but enjoying it. On my second time line. Lost Luna this time too :,(.

Playing Bioshock again and it's definitely much better than Infinite. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not one of these people that says Infinite is gooseberry fool. Those people are wrong.

The setting and story of Bioshock 1 is better, but I loved the combat as well companion to work with you in Infinite.

Also loved Bioshock 2 too.

Been playing through Viva Pinata Trouble In Paradise. Anyone know how to make the toy train change tracks on junctions?

Noby Noby Boy (PS3)

I don't get it. Plus the camera controls is pretty bloody awful (especially the zoom in/out.)

Once I get all the trophies, this game will be deleted and forgetten quickly.
