Oh yes. Fallout 3 is my favourite video game. I dont give it that accolade lightly; I've loved the Pro Evo series for years but Fallout 3 was just amazing. I also enjoyed all of the DLC; they're chunky add-ons that deliver a lot of enjoyment.

High praise indeed. I bought a load of DLC a while ago, four bits I think, for about £2 each. Can see them as quests in-game, will probably hold off for a while though. Played a bit more yesterday, seem to be struggling against certain enemies (those crab things that run out of water and chase you) but I’m sure I’ll level-up soon and get some better weapons too.

Only niggle so far is that it feels so similar to Skyrim, and after putting 100+ hours into that, it’s all so samey (the navigation, the interaction with characters, the general feel of it all).

Played Crysis 3 through to completion. The bow made it piss easy for the most part and I think I was more impressed with the second game graphically on 360. I much preferred killing human enemies rather than Cith too.
I'm now giving the mp a bit of a go before moving on to Catherine or returning to Stick of Truth; whatever trades for more on Amazon as my latest plan is to work through my backlog and build up enough gift card credit to get a PS4 without spending any of my wages. I'm on £75 after 12 games so far...

Sly Cooper: thieves in time.

Really liking this.
Really not liking been forced & having to use six axis. Fancy not putting a option in to let me use the left stick.

OI Sanzuri Games, 2006 rang & asked if it could have its waggle shitty six axis crap back.

One of the reasons I just stick to the PS Vita version. Thank god for Cross Buy feature!

It's been a long time, but IIRC you have to play Andy in the middle, and if you do the missions leading up to it correctly Grit on the right and Max on the left is the best mix.

If you've done it wrong the worst, again IIRC is Sami on the right and Kanbei on the left.

Advanced Wars DS is still my fav

I rarely used Sami because I don't like her power. I used Andy and Max mostly. I'm not sure who I got but I hope it wasn't Sami or Drake. :dread:

I think Dual Strike is my favourite even if it is completely unbalanced. It is was so fun to play despite that. I've liked all the Advance Wars games including Dark Conflict. I remember that one is kinda hated around these parts

Yeah it's pish.

Sami is crap in the first game, arguably the best in Dual strike.

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royalie (PS3)

I was like "strawberry float it" and bought it rather than waiting for sale/PS+ :shifty:

It's.... good. Has lot of problems but if Sony was to do sequel (doubtful) and improve the game as well getting rid of "use special moves to score KO" and use SSB system (hey if you're going to copy SSB may as well copy best bits of SSB) and probably lose few characters (Big Daddy? Really? ) then they could get excellent Sony-version of SSB.

Alas, it's not meant to be. Ah well, it'll do for my Sony cross-over game needs. :)

Hitman Absolution:

I foolishly promised Mori I would review this in full. Bit of preface: I have completed Blood money and played at least a third each of 2 and contracts, here is how I got my first silent assassin rating and first suit only level completion in a Hitman game. The setting is "THE KING OF CHINATOWN", the duration; less time than the bookending cutscenes. Here is how the tale went:

WALK INTO SQUARE
WALK UP TO FISH STALL
STEAL POISON FISH WHEN LADY TURNS AWAY
WALK UP TO FISH STALL
POISON MEAL WHEN MAN TURNS AWAY
WAIT
TARGET EATS AND DIES
WALK OUT OF LEVEL AS GUARDS WANDER AWAY FROM THE EXIT

That took maybe 2 minutes, didn't hide the corpse or anything. Hell of a game this

I rather like this speedrun of that level (the whole run is incredible, but this one in particular is gold for highlighting how stupid the game is).

I myself gave up on the orphanage level, quite early on. Just wasn't worth it.

That was another bad one. I think actually the beginning Chinatown levels are the best in the entire game.

I couldn't believe the cheek on show when for the Chinese New Year bit they blatantly reused the King of Chinatown map but removed certain alleyways to try and disguise it (very strawberry floating poorly). I mean there would have been nothing wrong with reusing it, but such a lazy way of hiding it. :fp:

I'd forgot there were levels with no targets :(

THIS GUY IS SUSPECTED OF A MURDER (which they couldn't have seen the body from because you'd blocked off the room) SEND IN THE HELICOPTER GUNSHIP

I like the bit where you do a chase, get a cutscene then the chase continues, then a cutscene, then the chase continues, then a cutscene...

That was when I figured out how broken the detection system was. No matter which direction I turned someone would get suspicious, so the answer? Constantly spin in a circle so they can't see your face for long enough. :fp:
