Picked up Forza 4 for 99p from Game. Only just begun playing it, but already I can see it's really rather good.

Been playing lots of Arkham Origins.

Just had a go on Metal Gear Rising on PS3. Can see myself really liking it. 19GB download is probably mainly videos - nice to see some high res ones. The ones in Arkham Origins are really quite horrible. That's on PC and PS3, oddly. With all that Bluray space there's really no excuse for not putting high res ones on the disk.

Dafuq? Are they having some sort of current-gen preowned fire sale or something? Forza 4 is indeed ace, add me on xbl - Treliz (only one L)

LA Noire Complete Edition on 360. I'm enjoying it thus far although I've heard that all the good cases are at the beginning and the game kind of loses it's way toward the end. I like how I'm recognising some of the actors playing the characters. I can't always put a name to a face but I'm like "That's Ted's dad from Bill and Ted or that's Killian's assistant from The Running Man". I'm not entirely sold on what appears to be a completely linear game set in a sandbox however.

It was a pre-owned bundle copy, (boxed and complete but with 'bundle copy' on the front). They're not on display in the shop as I imagine they're not generally allowed to, but being as I bought my 360 from their the other day the store manager was good enough to sell me it to me.

99p for an amazing racing game? 8-)

I'll add you as soon as I've sorted my broadband in a week or so :D

Castlevania SOTN

Gone back to this after not particularly enjoying the first bit of the inverted castle, but it’s actually enjoyable again now. Will keep ploughing through it for the time being, and see how far I get. The room with all the gears and medusa heads though. :dread:

Also had a session of old PS1/PS2 games with some mates at the weekend. So funny, and so much better having people in the room playing split-screen rather than online.

Had a long session on Batman Arkham Origins yesterday and it was fantastic. It's enjoyable from the start but it's really started to come into it's own now. The mad hatter section was a particularly wonderful surprise. Also, I forgot how satisfying it is to get combos in combat. Up to the Bane boss fight, which I failed my first attempt at despite knowing what to do. Looking forward to playing more.

My brothers did co-op on it and thought exactly the same.

Bully

Starting to drag now. I'm on Chapter 5, hoping it doesn't last much longer. Decent game, but incredibly repetitive.

Lone Survivor - PS3/Vita

Really enjoying this now, just got to the basement and things are starting to pick up! everywhere is dark and creatures jump out of the shadows and you have a brief moment to react! Only played on the vita so far as I think it might lose some of the effect if I play it on the big screen

Chapter 5 is the last chapter.

I've just started Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen courtesy of PS+. Not really sure what to make of it. I don't really know where I'm going, the quests are all gooseberry fool and all the monsters seem too hard. It feels like I'm playing an MMO only with nobody else playing.

^ Good to know, cheers.

Blue Dragon

Started this yesterday...about 5 hours in now. I’m enjoying it so far, more than I thought I would at least. The tradition of JRPGs having incredibly annoying characters in them continues, but aside from that, it’s decent enough so far. The title music is probably the best bit though. :shifty:

Playing a lot on my 3DS recently. Got up to the last bit on Zelda: OoT so have about an hour just to complete that, Also rebooted Animal Crossing to enjoy Haloween and bought a new house. Then, a guy I generally dont like said he's moving and I answered "good luck on your travels" and then he decided to stay cos I was too quick to say goodbye and we should be friends. :x

I've also finished the first Dungeon of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, amazing little game this is.

Been playing short bursts of:

Trackmania Canyon - been messing about with various mods and player generated tracks, There's something magical about driving the General Lee around a ridiculously unrealistic racetrack (whilst occasionally shouting "YEE HAW").

Typing of the Dead: Overkill - This game is utterly hilarious, loving the B-movie/grindhouse vibe, although the constant use of the word "mummy strawberry floater" starts to grate after a while.

Path of Exile - Wasn't expecting much from a free to play Diablo clone but it's actually quite good, nearly all the paid content is purely cosmetic meaning you're not at a disadvantage by being a cheapskate.

I started playing The Living Dead: 400 days and so far it's a bit of a disappointment. It spoils the memory of the fantastic regular episodes. In those, you really get to know and feel for the characters and then, when you are confronted with some dilemma it really has some weight, some emotional impact.

In the stories of 400 days I've played (2 of them), It's all been about making a single difficult decision. The stories are so blatantly set up to lead to that one dilemma, it's so transparent. And because of this, I don't care for the characters or what's going on at all. Do I get person A or person B killed? Do I do do terrible thing X or awful thing Y? Do I want what's behind door number 1 or door number 2? Who cares?
