It's really not worth trying to 100% the missions in Assassin's Creed 3. Some of the 100% objectives are so poorly thought out.

I haven't really been playing anything over the last few days. I was playing Toki Tori 2+, but the puzzles became pretty irritating, I couldn't be arsed continuing. Might play through something old over Christmas.

I seemingly have post awesome game blues after I stopped playing 3D World.

Skyrim.

Played it on ps3 and am now playing it on the 360 but at a much more relaxed pace.

Saints Row 2

strawberry float me, just done a mission which took an age to complete, as I had to keep restarting. The retarded AI constantly getting killed and ignoring my commands, and an endless stream of enemies. Really infuriating.

That aside though, think I'm about 25% complete. Taking my time with it, enjoying the distractions.

I'm playing this for first time on pc. I'm 48 hours in but starting to lose interest. I've completed main story quests and the side ones just don't grab me. I've levelled up into a badass stealth archer who can one shot kill most things which has made combat a little easy.

Got Shadow Warrior in the Steam sale. Only done the prologue and the first two chapters so far, but I like it. Playing on Normal at the moment, as I'm not very good at it (certainly the battle ratings seem to suggest so)..

FTL - First time I tried it I didn't bother with the tutorial  and therefore dismissed it. Tried it again on the weekend, this time actually doing the tutorial. Man, when you actually know what you're doing the game is as addictive as crack, absolutely loving it.

Just proves the old adage, graphics don't matter. Gameplay counts.

Mirror's Edge - Playing this in small bursts, a level at a time. Quite enjoying it. Well I was, now I seem to be stuck on a jump. : (

Been playing the Castle of Illusion remake, which has this effect:

I'm baffled by the meh reviews, it's a wonderful remake! Captures the spirit of the original very well but does enough new to justify its existence. Plus the music by Grant Kirkhope is terrific, reminds me of Banjo Kazooie a lot.

Such a shame the studio closed, it's clearly a labour of love...it also means we won't get a Quackshot remake

It controls like a dog. It's got a couple of good bits but it's a missed opportunity.

These last few day since my last ramblings I've been mostly playing...

:o :o :o :o

ASSASSINS CREED 3. Still.

So I'm on the trophy hunt & I was trying to win this game called fanorona.
It's too complicated for me to understand & to win this game against this slimy, smug gooseberry fool &
you can't change the difficulty as it's set to expert. Come the strawberry float on. There is no fun, no challenge to be had.
He wants to degrade you, humiliate you, make you feel like a small man. He wants to gooseberry fool on from great heights.

So I play it. Lose. Lose. Lose. Lose.Lose.
Finally I resort to youtube & thanks to a helpful video, I kicked his ass out of the front door & now I'm like this:

Reading through the comment sections whilst I was having a bad time trying to win, this comment is also how I felt:

Next to impossible, that piece of strawberry floating gooseberry fool, that i would love to kill myself nine thousand times, always does a different move to you and I just try every combo and he just always wins, if only i could rip the cane out from under him and break his head in strawberry float i wish he was real

Amen to that brother.

I decided to spend some of the free time I have over the next couple of weeks ticking off my backlog of Steam games. Where better than right at the top of the alphabetical list, with And Yet It Moves. It has lain dormant and forgotten there, ever since it arrived with some Humble Bundle aeons ago.

I'm glad I gave it a chance. Each level held the attention with the addition of new ideas, and there was some fiendish puzzle design towards the end. Finished it in two sittings.

This is me crouching on the side of a psychedelic hill, hiding from one of the frankly sinister checkpoint dudes.

360:
Alice: Madness Returns

Just got to Tundraland, the first part was a bit too brown and bleak. Would've like a bit more colour, still the second area seems a bit better.

One:
Dead Rising 3

Fetch quest after fetch quest... Still having fun with it though, despite its repetitiveness. Combining vehicles and mowing down zombies is fun.

PS3:
Spelunky

PS4:
Ghosts

After getting my KDR to 2:1 I've been playing pretty badly, no idea why

PC:
Diablo 3 PTR

Lots of changes and I don't understand everything and there are certain things I like... Not sure if I'll get RoS on PC or PS4.

The controls in Assassins Creed III are awful compared to the previous games.

The gunplay is also absolutely appalling.

Mass Effect 2- Martin Sheen keeps calling me like a GTA4 character and making me do story missions when I don't want to do them.

Next unplayed game on my Steam list was Capsized, another game I got in a Humble Bundle that I quickly forgot about. You are 1 of a small group of astronauts stranded on an alien planet after your ship crashes.

It's a shooter, but with gravity propulsion and a hookshot that allows you to glide and bounce around the levels, grapple onto debris and fling them at the bad guys, which is a great deal of Christmassy fun, let me tell you.

12 levels so doesn't last too long, but this is no easy game, even on Medium difficulty. The penultimate level in particular is a real kick in Santa's sack.

It looks pretty nice too.

Sword of the Stars: The Pit

Brilliant sci-fi themed rogue-like exploration game, has 30 randomly generated levels which get increasingly harder so there's a lot of replay value.

was only 99p too.

Volgarr the Viking

Jeez. S'difficult. Think old-school action-platformers where if you get your ass kicked, you go all the way back to the start of the level. Very satisfying to progress through though.
