Gone back to wipeout HD & all of a sudden I remembered how cross I got last time after studio Liverpool got a raging hard on for Sebenco climb & the amount of times I had to race it.

I truly despise that track. Makes my blood boil. Makes me shout swear words at the TV.
Absolute bastard it is.

Even though I'm last I laugh at the fact it gives me a shield to absorb.
Thank you very much, how bout you give me a quake?. A missile?. HELLO?. That might make the race a bit more worthwhile.

South Park: Stick of Truth. Christ, this is very close to being utter bollocks, quite frankly. Considering the scope for the writers doing whatever they want - as the South Park universe isn't bound by, well, anything really - this is really really dull. Yes, there are a few funny moments but I'm getting pretty sick of the over-reliance on bodily fluids/dildos etc - it seems that genuine wit is hard to come by. Bearing in mind that the South Park setting is all the game has got going for it (simple battle mechanics, small map, various technical shortcomings, LOADING SCREENS), which also means that graphically it needs to be gooseberry fool to remain faithful, this is turning into yet another war of attrition. I dunno, maybe I'm just fed up with video games as I don't seem to be enjoying any of them at the moment (ooh, apart from Rayman Legends - that's tops). And on that note, I'm off to the 'Last Game You Finished...' topic...

Fruits Punch Samurai, Xenoblade. Trauma Center is also a great game.

Enjoying Etrian Odyssey Untold. Still on the first stratum. Also playing Cave Story, which is pretty great. Just about to go into the sand zone.

Muramasa Rebirth.

Seems like it might get a bit repetitive, but I'm not getting tired of it yet. Done a couple of bosses. Looks lovely and plays as smooth as silk.

Went with Cursed Mountain for single player and Trauma Centre New Blood for co op. Cursed Mountain has great atmosphere until you get into a fight, they aren't so great. And Trauma Centre is a lot of fun in two player, though I like to read the story text, my friend doesn't. So it's a case of me speed reading while he skips ahead.

Mario Kart Wii, trying to at least finish the singleplayer content (unlock all characters, as well beat every cup with gold trophy) - just Mirror cups to do before doing other stuff for characters (and possibly karts if I can be arsed) as well Mario Kart 7 for online; and few games of Mario Golf 3DS.

Can't wait for Mario Kart 8

Bioshock 2

I don't understand why people don't like this. The combat is much improved over the first game and some of the environments are gorgeous to look at. The only negative so far is that the level design and layout isn't quite as well thought out, although I've only just finished the first proper level. I did play it when it first came out but I don't remember it very well.

You might have answered your own query here - Bioshock 2, for a variety of reasons, just wasn't as memorable as the first game. Still good though.

People didn't dislikeike it, it was just a letdown. It's BioShock 1.5, the same game as the first with better combat, less consistent story and a few needless additions to differentiate it from the original. It was a sequel no-one asked for.

LA Noire

Enjoying it, although I feel like it should have finished a couple of hours ago. But nope, it's still going.

Puzzle Quest 2

Again, decent game, but drags on far too long.

NiGHTS

I have no idea what's going on here. Story? Not a strawberry floating clue. All I know is I'm collecting orbs and stars, facing bizarre and unclear boss fights, and when I fail I go through it all again. Mixed feelings so far. Fun at times, but annoying.

Cursed Mountain is "okay", but it does gear repetitive pretty quick.
