Ah, that section's a bit of a grind. Fortunately it picks up again after that.

Great game. Felt like I replayed it recently but it must've been 2 years ago now. I need to get round to playing the second one.

It is, its fantastic. I love how it tells a story without telling you again, if you look for the story, you find it, but it doesn't shove it into your face.

Few games on the go at the mo.

Mass Effect 3
GT6
Far Cry 3
Kingdoms of Amalur

Almost finished Far Cry 3 from what I can tell. Next up will either be Batman Arkham City and Dark Souls. I'm thinking maybe Batman first as I know from Demon's Souls that Dark Souls will require a bit more input.

Got bored on my second playthrough of Tales of Xillia, the story just isn't different enough from the other character's perspective. Everything just felt a chore. I'm sending it back to Boomerang on Monday morning.

I instead started to play Puppeteer which I got from PS+. I've just finished the first act and it's okay so far, not great but certainly enjoyable.

Mario Kart Wii in preparation for 8. Finished 150cc earlier and made a start on the Mirrored tracks. I had no idea I didn't finish this earlier to be honest.

LA Noire is so strawberry floating repetitive. Could have been something special had they thought more about what is good and bad in terms of gameplay.

Playing Etrian Odyssey Untold, 30 plus hours on the clock, I'm at the fourth stratum, the boss in ruins 3 is kicking my ass. Also started playing Superstar saga on Wii U. Way better than the most recent Mario and Luigi game.

Aye, I thought I was coming to the end a few hours ago, and even then it would've been too long. But no, it's still going. :dread:

If it'd been 8-10 hours, it could've been brilliant.

It'd also help if all the characters in the game weren't so very dislikable.

Been playing Psychonauts on Steam as good number of people on other forum I go on has beaten it, and I thought I'd join in as I heard it's not very long game at all. 3 hours into the game and I'm really enjoying it far more than I thought.

Bought this when it was on sale a few weeks ago. I thought it looked decent but I lost interest before I even got out of the introduction area. Should I give it another bash? Seemed really Fable like.

I've been playing Rust. Love it so far. It's torture though. Spent hours gathering resources, found a quiet place to build a home, then I stepped outside in the night with a lit torch - Instantly shot by another player. Everything lost. :fp:

I really really want to like Amalur but it's "fable like" in all the worst way: the combat is weightless and impossible to lose. It's also way too long and most of the dialogue is complete folksy bollocks. Of these the biggest issue has to be how long the game is, it'll take you about 20 hours to even find the plot and a lifetime to complete if you try and do every sidequest.
Despite this I end up downloading it again every 6 months or so and giving it another try; the game has some strange hidden charm which makes it seem incredibly appealing when you aren't playing it.

I'm probably gonna go download it now and give it another go in spite of myself :fp:

Just bought PGR 4 for £7, purely because I am off to Vegas and Tokyo soon and want to drive round them like on PGR 3.

What is the general opinion of it? How does it hold up now?

I enjoyed playing as a self righteous knob. It felt a bit different. I also enjoyed the game much more on a second playthrough as I got more answers right. It was just irritating when you got them wrong.

It was also fun seeing recognisable faces from TV pop up all over the place.

But yeah, it's a very flawed game.

I was there was a term for this. I experience this with a lot of games.

But yeh...Before I bought it, I read a lot of reviews saying the combat is amazing (many people saying better than Skyrim's combat). And then I played it and figured I must have bought the wrong game. :| Seems so easy and fake. Exactly like Fable. Granted I never really played enough to fairly judge, but still. I like to play these kind of games as an archer, and as soon as I equipped a bow I was just like "yep, I'm out".

Been playing a lot of Coop Seasons on FIFA 14 with McBig.

After a dodgy spell we've honed in on a good attacking formation and are winning almost every game, despite being doobed. 8-)

Is that on the same console or playing on separate consoles? It's just I remember you saying you lived together and I'm not sure how to play co-op online if you're playing on the same console.

I'm currently playing BioShock for the first time and dabbling in FIFA and Battlefield on the PS4, as well as a bit of Double Dash with the GF. Really enjoying BioShock, think I'm about halfway through. What's the second one like? I've got Infinite but haven't played it yet, just wondering whether it's worth playing BioShock 2 before as well.
