The Minish Cap and Mario Kart 8. I think Sonic Racing Transformed has better single player content than MK8, but I'm still loving this. Had a few games with some of the folks on here and it was a great laugh. Fully intend to play more.

The Minish Cap looks so good. Really charming presentation and well animated. Feels like an entirely new experience to me, as I've forgotten everything about it. Amazing that this was released 10 years ago.

Same.

Load up MK8 > Pick any mode > Pick any racer > Fun.

Watch Dogs is a real slog in comparison.

Aliens: Colonial Marines (360)

I have absolutely nothing good to say about this at all. Steaming hot garbage.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow. Man oh man, this game just throws every strawberry floating cheap-ass, dirty trick in the book at you, doesn't it? Constantly spawning enemies while you try to turn a crank or wedge open a door? Check! (x 100) Doors to a room slam shut for no reason and you have to clear wave after wave of enemies to unlock them? Check! Bosses that regain their health if you strawberry float up a QTE? Check check check! Stupid strawberry floating door opening puzzles that exist just to pad out the game? Oh, you betcha. It's so goddamn cynical I'm sure they're doing it on purpose.

Yet, I'm still enjoying it. The combat is satisfying and the game looks strawberry floating gorgeous, the textures especially. The story is even semi-interesting even though Robert Carlisle sounds like he's on the verge of sleeping the entire time. On Chapter 9 now, coming towards the end.

Progressed through Wolfenstien The New Order today; I think I'm near end in Chapter 13 and the impression I get I don't have long before I've beaten it. Will try to finish it off tomorrow :)

Mario Kart 8 still gets played loaaads. Sitting over 43hrs now (though to be fair most of time I do watch replays rather than playing game)

Watchdogs.

Only scratched the surface, but yeah I'm enjoying it. Definitely one of those games I can dip in and out of without the pressure to plough through it.

Max : The Brotherhood

What an amazing platformer. The art style in this is just pure sex.

It reminds me of Limbo but more fun and happy I guess.

The Minish Cap mostly. I really hated that bit where you have to find the library books. That's not something I really enjoyed. But it's back on form, the ice dungeon was good stuff. Still don't remember much at all about this game. It is very surprising in places and has some nice ideas.

Also playing some Mario Kart 8 on the side. Put about 10 hours into it so far. It is better than the previous console version. I hope to have a stab at 150cc over the next few days. Everything before that, I have three starred. The zero G stuff is actually very well implemented. It concerns me a little that they integrated F Zero aspects into this though. I just want a new F-Zero game.

Rayman Origins :o
Can't remember the last time I played a platformer as good as this. Seriously.
The levels are fun, the colours are colourful & striking. Bet they look something else on a Vita OLED screen. Just finished a level flying around on the mosquito from the original Rayman

Been playing Max: The Curse of Brotherhood this evening after getting it for free with Xbox Gold Live or whatever the deal is called. It's surprisingly good, gives me Oddworld/Heart of Darkness vibes, even a hint of Enslaved due to the lovely colour and lightening. It's a physics platformer at heart and worth checking out, I strongly advise you skip the childish cutscenes though to prevent being put off early on.

On the final chapter/last boss of Castlevania Lords of Shadow now. What in the blue strawberry float is this gooseberry fool? What seemed like a 20 minute cut-scene before the final boss and a huge twist out of strawberry floating nowhere :fp:

The boss of the previous chapter was epic, though. Less so all the platforming on the lead up to him.

[edit] And done. Last boss was rather piss-easy apart from that strawberry floating coloured ring section. Good end cut-scene. Not gonna bother with the sequel as I've heard it's gash.#

[edit] The after-credits scene and subsequent reveal was brilliantly done! :o

Is Max: The Curse of Brotherhood a sequel or prequel to Max and the Magic Marker?

F-Zero GX

Glorious.

Damn tricky though. :x

Such a pain in the arse that you have to use the Wii remote to select a GC game from the Wii menu. I'm only using it for GC games, but I bet I'll get through a tonne of batteries just to keep the Wii remote going.

Super Mario Galaxy

Seems decent so far. The music is the best part, some great tunes. The 'waggling' of the remote is getting annoying though.
