Zelda II

On the third dungeon, and after a bit of grinding things have become easier again. I've made some quick progress during the last couple of sessions I've had with it, and am enjoying it quite a lot more than I was.

Fallout 3

Finally feels like I'm at a point where I'm not constantly in need of ammo and health. I can take down a Super Mutant pretty easily now, and like above, am finally making some good progress. S'good.

Currently playing Gears of War 3 (and some Judgment, too).

Thoroughly impressed by the offline AI bot support for playing across all the MP maps (including all the DLC maps). This is incredible value for money. All the MP maps are completely functional in offline mode and you even get rewards and level-ups for playing them against Bots. Why on earth don't more developers do this with their MP content? It's such a reasonable approach, giving players like me the opportunity to enjoy the MP content we've paid for without actually playing online, but still allowing us to enjoy the process of levelling up and unlocking items, etc. I even spent £19.99 today on a GW3 Season Pass to obtain all the map packs and I'm loving them. That's what you call good business!

Both these games get a resounding 10/10 from me for their offline-friendly approach!

I'm giving Pixel Junk Shooter Ultimate another go, and this time I'm rather enjoying it - don't know what was up with me first time around!

Tell me what game of these two I should get, GRcade. Ace Attorney Dual Destines or 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors? Both are about the same price, and for context I am a big fan of Ace Attorney and have Virtue's Last Reward lying unplayed as I've heard it follows on from 999.

Since you already own VLR, get 999.

I keep dashing off platforms. This is going to take ages to get to grips with.

And made her a J pop superstar :dread:

I actually liked that game, despite how cringeworthy it was at times. Loved the battle system.

Ordered 999. In the meantime I'm really in the mood for visual storytelling-esque games, got Hotel Dusk to play through and am looking for other games of a similar vein. Any recommendations?

There's Another Code if you haven't played that, Layton series (yeah they're puzzle-heavy wise but the story is good as well the animation/art is brilliant. I'd start from 1st though it might been expensive...) and Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc if you've got Vita.

Ace Attorney Investigations. I noticed that you were contemplating Dual Destinies so you may have already played it but, as it's my favourite in the series, I have to recommend it.

Never did play Investigantions, heard mixed things. I know a friend of mine has a copy so I might see if I can wrangle a lend of it. I'll keep an eye for Another Code too.

There was a sequel to Another Code on the Wii and Hotel Dusk has a sequel on the DS too called Last Window.

I like the control: it's kind of like a track ball - you just have to get used to rolling the stylus.
