Chucked in a few mods, started a fresh game.

Going for a particular build/route or just taking it as it comes?

Bit more relaxed about my gaming of recent so as it comes. Only got a few hours in before so most of it is new to me.

Dead Space 3 on PS3. Just past two thirds of the way through this and rather enjoying it. I just wish I’d figured out how the scavenger robots worked a little sooner.

The constant enemy gauntlets are getting a little tiresome as are the enemies that regularly spawn in behind you.

Grabbed the Motorhead DLC for Victor Vran in the steam sale, it's a fun little ARPG made better with a Motorhead soundtrack, a lightning guitar and shotgun.

If you finish it you should try the DLC, it was probably my favourite part of that game.

That’s the plan. I’m hoping to have it wrapped up by the time I get paid then I can buy the DLC. I remember liking the DLC for Dead Space 2 also.

I feel like this game was unfairly shat on. It's good, sometimes great.

I remember people complaining about the micro-transactions but I’ve never needed them so I don’t see the problem.

Managed to find the willpower to properly start Killzone. The Halo killer apparently

This game is so bad: whether it be the frame rate, or my work colleagues saying the same lines over & over, the tedious long levels (looking at you “the sea dock levels).

I’ve got 3 other nobodies to play with after this aswell. Talk about dragging it out.

This game is boring as gooseberry fool. It isn’t hyperbole, it’s the truth :capnscotty:
In fact this game is as boring as Lance Storm

Killzone 2 is a lot better, although I still don't rate it that highly. Resistance is a better FPS from the same era

I found the first Killzone quite boring too until I turned the difficulty up, although it's still not a great game. Killzone 2 is better but a bit too hard and Killzone 3 is actually pretty good, looks fantastic too but the best Killzone is arguably the PSP one, although it's a bit of a faff obtaining the DLC which made up the true final chapter of the game since you can no longer get it via legitimate channels.

Resistance 3 is better than all of them however.

Graveyard Keeper

Essentially a medieval set Stardew Valley but instead of a farm you run (amongst other things) a graveyard and mortuary.

Its quite macabre too as you can harvest 'meat' from corpses to sell to unsuspecting villagers.

Had some initial difficulty in setting up a working control scheme with the onscreen controller I use but have managed to get something resembling a useable setup (somday I'll record some gameplay footage of me using it to play something).

Got The Painscreek Killings in the Steam sale and played it for 2.5 hours yesterday. Probably one of the best walking simulators I've ever played and pretty substantial.

You go round an abandoned village investigating some murders by looting diaries and spare house keys. It's surprisingly engrossing. Satisfying too when you work out a safe combination.

Nier: Automata

I like it but I'm about 20 hours and although I'm enjoying it I'm still waiting for it get as amazing as the reviews and podcasts made it sound at the time. The world is great, the characters are interesting (I could do without the pervy waifu stuff though) and the music is incredible. The combat is serviceable at best buy it's not game ruining. It's a very nice game to just and play without too much thought or concentration but I'm really hoping the is going to be some great story stuff soon.

FFFS, thought I'd sorted out the Steam issue by deleting the HTML cache but now it's doing it again, oddly everything works fine in Big Picture mode.

Has it been happening since the recent overhaul?

Yep.

I've literally spent most of the day trying various different fixes for it and thought I'd finally sorted it.
