Pretty sure there's loads of people reporting bugs and telling them to fix them, but they seem content with how things are. I reckon there is a third Battlefront coming, but they don't want to say anything as this time they're taking their time to make it the best it can be.

I can be hopeful about that, anyway.

Apparently there's a patch coming with the next road map update

Which we should be seeing the info from soon.

Jumped onto Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate this morning having woke up early, and it's amazing how quickly an hour and a half can go when hunting dangerous beasts.

Thief
Not sure what to make of this. It reminds me of Dishonored in a few ways - mainly the setting and some of the mechanics - but it's definitely not as good a game as that. I like the searching for items, the working out how to get into buildings, etc, but there's so much gooseberry fool to pick up (in terms of loot) that any item you're specifically after just feels like another item rather than anything particularly valuable or unique. I quite like being able to wander the streets and do side missions in between chapters as well - feels like a good mix/bit of variety. I'm only on Chapter 3, so I imagine there's a fair way to go, but it's okay so far.

The new Thief is pretty poor. Not a patch on the originals.

Yeah the new game was pretty gooseberry fool sadly.

The original Thief is in my top 5 games, an absolute classic in my opinion. I've lost count of how many times I've replayed it and the fan mission community is still going strong 20 years on so there is always something new to try as well!

Picked up Aragami for Switch yesterday and been going through that and it's a pretty decent game, kinda reminds me of a third person Dishonored with the powers you have at your disposal.

What really put me off was the lack of freedom of movement that was standard in the original 3 games. Climb through a window in the new Thief only to discover you can't go back as your entry point is now blocked off by some invisible barrier.

The best Thief type game I've played in recent times would be Styx: Master of Shadows

I am playing Mercury Hg on the 360. It's weird, I played a bit of this when it first came out and thought it was ok, nothing special. I'm now going back and finishing off old XBLA games and I've become hopelessly addicted to the challenges on this. It's bloody marvellous (and rock hard).

Still plodding on with Nioh. I just finished the 4th area of the world map. I think there are 6 areas in total so I assume I’m about 2/3 of the way through now.

I've had the two Styx games on my Steam list for a long time but have never got round to trying them - I've definitely heard good things though!

Skyrim has me hooked back incompletely. Very nearly got my character setup before I actually start doing various quests (outside of the College of Winterhold quest line). Taken a while and as I said previously it’s amazing how quickly you go from underpowered to overpowered very quickly. Just need to find some enchanting boosting potions now, used the one I had to boost my created smithing gear.

Days Gone.

About 2 1/2 - 3 hours in and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. That Days Gone has lifted ideas and gameplay mechanics from other games in the genre works in its favour, not to its detriment. I was immediately comfortable with how Days Gone plays and controls. Combat is also excellent and very satisfying. There's a good weight to it all whether up close and personal with melee or using ranged weapons.

It's also a stunner and save for a couple of jitters in the opening cut scene it runs very smooth. Happy I bought the Pro to play it on.

Oh, and it's proper scary and can be very intense. Also, zombie children which I believe is a first in a video game?

Looking forward to getting home and continuing with it.

Depends how far you want to cast that net. DOOM 3 had baby demons, I'm pretty sure there's a few kid zombies in The Walking Dead games and of course there are the Little Sisters.

Not quite a baby zombie but the end boss of Parasite Eve starts out as a newborn baby also South Stick of Truth had Nazi zombie aborted foetuses.

Some good shouts but to my memory this is the first time I've been swarmed by undead children in a game, seeing their heads explode in a shower of gore as my baseball bat makes contact as I'm fighting for my life. It's rather unsettling but adds to the dread.

Zombie children? Pffft, should've had the balls like back in Fallout where you could kill normal children ;)

My friend surprised me by getting me £50 eshop credit. So I've went and bought octopath traveller.

Ludo is gooseberry fool!
