He could have been playing without a mic and they kicked him for being gooseberry fool too.

I've about 3 hours into Dusk Episode 2 and it feels a lot bigger then Episode 1. Also after some very cool but head-fuck levels it is has now taken a really dark and eerie turn. I'm talking Doom 3 levels of creepy. I won't say any more though, I'll let you discover it for yourself.

Dusk really is quite good, especially when you consider it was developed by just one man. The only other input was some guy who scored the music.

Yes, no mic and yes I was hopeless - but I was trying to watch what they all did and understand how they were playing. But too fast, too fast - I just got left behind immediately and fell to the first bullet. Back to offline Lone Wolf, then. Kinda wish the devs had added a full AI team to play objectives with in offline mode. Don’t know what the problem was there, tbh. Cost? Time? Effort? Lone Wolf seems like a ‘barest minimum’ effort.

Well I’ve just this moment finished XC 2 Torna DLC so I guess next up will be giving Stardew Valley or Hollow Knight a bit more attention (well it’ll be the third time starting Stardew Valley, still yet to get bitten by the Stardew Valley bug the previous two times I’ve tried it but I’ve been reading up a lot more about it since I last gave it a go. Hollow Knight has great mechanics, looks superb and has a fantastic setting but I find it has a lack of direction even for a metroidvania type game so I probably wouldn’t have a clue where to go ) or I could treat myself to a couple of indie games in the form of Celeste and Gris, Celeste which a lot of people here recommend and I’ve read Gris is meant to be great but on the short side.

Choices choices, its certainly a nice problem to have.

About to begin Monster Hunter World.

Got a funny feeling I'll spend a fair amount of time in character creation.

*some time later and one cute cat in tow*

Started it. Wow, that has to be quite possibly some of the worst climbing animations I've seen in a game.

That said, a very pretty game nonetheless.

Something tells me I'm going to enjoy this.

I couldn't get on with Monster Hunter World, played it lots at launch with mate and then with daughter but it's just too weird for me. I get the feeling that it may click so ill keep trying with little one every now and then as she loves it.

That all said, as an Xbox One X enhanced title it's one of the worst looking games to have that tag. Very blurry.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

Bloody amazing game, the graphics are a joy to behold, and the exploration is unbelievably addictive.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an absolute delight, whilst Origins took me a while to get into I've fell for Odyssey straight away it's a blast to play, gorgeous to look at and the new RPG mechanics build upon Origins in meaningful ways. Certainly one of Ubisoft best games.

Got to Chapter 3 of RDR2, really enjoying it more and more as I play. Hardly goty material but still decent game to me, but won't lie that I'm still disappointed that it's not good as first game, I'll live though

The opening is hilarious for being a completely out of place and scripted attempt at story driven missions in Monster Hunter, luckily the actual game is nothing like it :P

Thankfully, yes. I've not got far and as my first time playing a Monster Hunter title there is a lot to pick up. So far so good though.

Giving Vampyr a go last night, and I'm really enjoying it. The story and setting is interesting, the combat isn't that bad and the risk/reward element of embracing characters is cool. The only real thing i don't like is the presentation, as the game was clearly made on a budget as some characters look odd and the game doesn't play very smooth.

Mario oddyssey is getting my attention at the moment. Definitely need to try and get all the moons. I'm absolutely loving how there's no particular order to collect them in and how much there is to do.

I've been playing dawn of the breakers too. It's pretty good.

Also been playing Mario Oddysey and quite a lot of it.

Am starting to see why some people are a bit critical of the way Moons are distributed. Some are fun to acquire, many others I feel pretty meh about or even tedious to acquire. Combined with how many of them are there, I don't see myself trying to get them all, and that's a bit of a shame because I greatly enjoyed collecting all the major collectables in Mario 64, Galaxy 1/2, and at least wanted to do the same in Sunshine though haven't gotten around to it (because a lot of the Shines are complete BS).

At least the action is barely halted by being booted out of the level as was the case in 64 onwards when you collected a star/shine.

That said I like the game a lot. It is for the most part fun exploring levels and they are wonderfully crafted with some very creative and fun level design. And it's nice to play a big epic 3D Mario game again since the last one I got to play came out nearly 10 years ago. It's beautiful.

Also been playing Super Mario Bros 3 a fair bit. The NES version this time, as opposed to the GBA version I played long ago, on the Switch NES app. It's great.

After a few of hours today of HZD, (and having lost the living room to the children for the time being), I fancied a change.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS2)

I don't recall having really played it that much before, (a demo maybe?), so playing the game is relatively new to me. Just offed some weird boss-plant thing. It's a fun game, but some tough platforming in places. I've fallen to my death a few times.

Enjoy the start of the best gaming trilogy ever made! TPL is an absolutely fantastic 3D platformer :toot:

Just arrived at Misty Island. The HD AV component cable I bought for the PS2 has done wonders for the picture quality.

Same with the one that I bought for the Nintendo Wii. Metroid Prime (GC) looks marvellous again. Just beat Flaagrah, (third attempt). Forgot how bastard hard these boss monsters are.
